÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball season came to an end at the Region III Division III Tournament this weekend. The Lady Pioneers were 1-2 in pool play and failed to advance to the tournament semifinals.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's soccer team's 2012 dream season ended as Broome CC used two 1st half goals to defeat the Lady Pioneers 2-1 in the Region III Division III A bracket finals. The Lady Pioneers finish their season with a 17-2 mark while Broome advances to the NJCAA DIII National Tournament.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State and Mohawk Valley CC women's cross country ran to a share of the Region III Championships. Both teams scored a 45 and will share the Region III title in a highly competitive race. In the men's competition the Pioneers finished 3rd out of the nine teams competing.

Southern Virginia University took advantage of three ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State turnovers and ten penalties in a 21-6 victory on Saturday afternoon. The Knights improve to 3-6 on the year while the Pioneers fall to 3-4.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State takes on Southern Virginia University on Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Stadium at 1 p.m.

The 17-1 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's soccer team remained in the top spot of this week's NJCAA Division III poll released today. The Lady Pioneers have won 17-straight and are playing for the Region III Championship this weekend.

Heading into this weekend's Region III Championships, the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's cross country team is tied for 3rd in the latest NJCAA Division III poll while the men are ranked #7.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's soccer team advanced to the Region III Division III A Finals with a 1-0 victory over Clinton CC in a semifinal match-up. The #1 ranked and #1 seeded Lady Pioneers will take on #4 Broome CC in the finals on Saturday afternoon.

Football players Mikel DeMonte (Brockport) and Thomas Daniels (Bronx/ICE) along with volleyball player Rebecca Hanrahan (Greene) have been named the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State athletes of the week by the SID office.

Four members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State baseball team have been honored by the Western New York Athletic Conference. Daiki Iizuka (Chiba, Japan) was named 2nd team while Stephen Solomon (Harrisburg, PA), Jordan Wheaton (Wayland Cohocton), and Brett Rapan (Bolivar Richburg).
