Pioneer Swimmers win WNYAC Dual

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swimming team improved to 4-0 in WNYAC action with victories over Mercyhurst North East, 73-9, and Erie CC, 78-0, on Wednesday evening.  In women's action, ASC defeated MNE 26-15 but fell 25-24 to ECC.

Wrestlers Tangles with Saints

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team traveled to Mercyhurst North East and fell 40-12 in a WNYAC contest.  The Pioneers fall to 0-2 in dual matches while MNE is 1-1 on the season.

Johnson Named NJCAA Special Teams POTW

Football player Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) has been named the NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week following the Pioneers 26-20 victory over Erie CC on Saturday.  Johnson is the second Pioneer player to be honored by NJCAA this season.

Corning Races Back to Down ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team led for 39 and a half minutes but Corning CC used a big 2nd half run to earn a 76-74 victory.  Corning took their only lead of the game 74-73 with 27 seconds remaining.

Romero and Brooks lead Lady Pioneers to victory

Camille Romero (Queens Village/Mary Louis) and Amie Brooks (Pavilion) combined for 52 points as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball continued their fast start to the 2011-12 season with a 71-66 win over Corning CC.  The Lady Pioneers are now 6-0 on the year.

Six Lady Pioneers Named All-WNYAC

Six members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's soccer team have been honored by the WNYAC.  Holli Pierce (Livonia), Jenna Lynn (York), Maura Tuffey (Albany/The Academy of the Holy Names), and Simone Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) were 1st team selections while Lacee Pearl (Olean) and Danielle Henry (Arkport) were 2nd team.

Four Pioneers Named All-WNYAC Soccer

Four members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team have been named to the All-WNYAC second team.  CJ Reynolds (East Rochester), Peter Dezio (East Rochester), Nick Peraino (Geneseo) and Tim Randall (Churchville Chili) helped the Pioneers to a 5-9-1 season.

Witchella and Johnson Named ASC Athletes of the Week

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College freshman forward Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) and sophomore football player Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) have been named the ASC Athletes of the Week by the SID office.

Turner Named Region Athlete of the Week

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore football player Anthony Turner (Syracuse/Corcoran) has been named the Region III Athlete of the Week.  Turner led the Pioneers defense as they defeated Erie CC 26-20 to claim the Region III Championship.

Pioneers Win Regional Title

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team claimed the Region III Championship for the 1st time in school history with a 26-20 victory over Erie CC in Orchard Park.  The Pioneers withstood a late 4th quarter rally by the Kats and finish the 2011 season with a 6-4 record.
