÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team outscored JCC-Olean 46-36 in the second half en route to a 81-72 victory on Tuesday evening.

Five members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team finished in the top three of their weight class as the Pioneers finished 3rd at the 2011 Northeast District Championships.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swimming team finished the 2011 Northeast District/Region III Championships in 5th place out of eight teams while the two Lady Pioneers that competed earned 9th place.

Brett Harrington (Rochester/Edison) and Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) registered NJCAA Division I National Championships qualifying performances on Saturday at the Kane Invitational at Cornell University.

Erie CC shot 60.7% and scored 46 second half points to break open a three-point halftime lead in a 85-67 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State on Saturday.  The #6 ranked Kats improve to 22-2 (11-1 WNYAC) while ASC falls to 4-21.

Camille Romero (Queens Village/Mary Louis) and Amie Brooks (Pavilion) had big days as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team downed Erie CC 73-52.  The win evens the Lady Pioners record at 12-12 (2-6 RIII DII) while the Kats fall to 9-14 (2-6 RIII DII).

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team had seven players score at least nine points as they downed Medaille College JV 85-65 on Wednesday evening.  The Pioneers are now 4-20 on the season.

Sir Aaron Taylor (West Chester/Lincoln Hall) will continue his academic and athletic collegiate career at Youngstown State.  Taylor a second team NJCAA All-American is the third Pioneer in the past ten years to sign with the Penguins.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College led for nearly 38 minutes of their contest versus Mercyhurst North East but the Saints were able to rally late in the 2nd half for a 64-60 victory.  The Saints improve to 16-5 (7-3 WNYAC) while the Pioneers are now 3-20 (0-10 WNYAC).

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team shot just 16% in the 1st half and were never able to recover in a 59-49 loss to Mercyhurst North East.  The Lady Saints are now 11-8, 6-2 Region III Division II while ASC falls to 11-12, 1-6 RIII DII.
