÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team returned to action after over a month off and fell 66-50 in their 2011 and WNYAC opener.  ASC led 25-24 at half but was unable to hold the lead.  The Pioneers are now 3-10 on the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team could not rally all the way back and fell 64-51 to Jamestown CC in their Western New York Athletic Conference opener.  ASC is now 10-6 on the year while JCC, ranked #17 in Division II of the NJCAA, improves to 16-3.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team fell 74-69 to a hot shooting Medaille JV squad in their 2011 opener.  The Lady Pioneers head into WNYAC play with a 10-5 mark.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore safety Sir Aaron Taylor (Westchester/Lincoln Hall) and freshman punter Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) have been named to the NJCAA All-American team.  This is the third time in Coach Mick Caba’s tenure that two players have been named All-American in the same year.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team went 1-2 at the ASC Duals on Saturday to close out the 2010 portion of their schedule.  The Pioneers are now 2-6 in dual matches on the year.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College swimming team wrapped up the 2010 portion of their season with a WNYAC dual at Monroe CC.  The Pioneer men fell 115-83 while the women fell 99-53 to the Region III power.

Josh Griffin (Englewood, NJ) followed up a missed lay-up with 0.8 seconds remaining to lift the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team to a 68-67 victory over CC of Beaver County on Tuesday evening.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team will open up the home portion of their season on Saturday when they host the ASC Duals.  The team competition will have each team wrestle three times during the day.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team spent the weekend competing at Niagara CCC.  On Friday, the Pioneers lost a close dual meet with Penn State DuBois 25-22 and then had four wrestlers finish in the top five of the Niagara Open on Saturday.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College swimming team had a solid outing at the SUNY Delhi Invitational. The men finished 3rd out of 13 teams while the women were 7th out of 14 teams.
