Edward Tezak, SUNY (State University of New York) Distinguished Service Profess of mechanical engineering technology at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College received the Frederick J. Berger Award from the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) at a special awards ceremony at the organization's annual conference and exposition in Honolulu in June

Emergency responder Matthew D. Heller, a State University of New York (SUNY) police officer at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, recently completed a weapons of mass destruction training course at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston, AL.

Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor of psychology at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, is the author of an article appearing in the most recent issue of The Serpentine Muse, a literary quarterly.  Titled "Conan Doyle and the Sleeping Fiend"

Danielle Welch, admissions counselor, Office of Admissions at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, was recently elected to serve as the College of Technology representative for the SUNYCAP (State University of New York College Admissions Professionals) Executive Board.

Tammy B. Conrad, Dansville, has been promoted to executive assistant to the president of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.

Four area high school seniors were awarded scholarships by the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥-Allegany Educational Employees Credit Union through its participation in the NYS Credit Union League's statewide scholarship program

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's WINS Club (Women in Non-traditional Studies, though the club is open to all students) recently raised and donated money to two local food pantries.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State receives $20,000 from BP America to Assist College's Alternative Energy Courses.

Six members of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's staff were honored with the SUNY (State University of New York) Chancellor's Award for Excellence this spring.
