Smiles were the order du jour as ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College officials, students, and contractors cut the ribbon at the new Student Gathering Place at the Central Dining Hall on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ campus late last month.

Several new professional staff members have joined the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College community.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC) recently hosted the fall 2007 Conference of The New York State Engineering Technology Association (NYSETA), a professional organization representing the faculty and institutions in New York State who teach engineering technology and technology

Some 270 high school students from 13 local and regional school systems participated in the 22^nd annual Agricultural Skills Day held at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College in October.  Students from ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥-Almond; Cassadaga Valley; CG May (Mt. Morris); Cuba-Rushford; Fillmore; Genesee Valley; Hewes Educational Center (Erie CCB); Letchworth; LoGuidice Educational Center (Fredonia); Olean BOCES; Pine Valley; Prattsburg; and Randolph participated in one of five different skills competitions.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, in conjunction with Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, is participating in the Humphrey Fellowship program, which brings to the United States accomplished mid-level professionals from designated countries that have a wide range of development needs. 

Unseasonably mild autumn weather allowed ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Building Trades students to complete work on "the arbor project," a beautification initiative located next to the Administration Building on the School of Applied Technology campus in Wellsville.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC) has joined forces with Genesee Community College, Batavia, (GCC); Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County, Warsaw, (CCE); and Quality Milk Production Services, Geneseo, (QMPS) to establish the Wyoming County Dairy Institute.

Students enrolled in the programs at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's School of Applied Technology and local eateries once again dazzled visitors to the Wellsville Campus during its second annual "Taste of Wellsville" event which was conducted as part of the College's Centennial Celebration.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College officials have announced the launch of a new bachelor of science degree in digital media and animation this fall following the recent approval of the program by the State University of New York.
