÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College faculty, staff, students, and alumni spent an unseasonably warm afternoon on campus earlier this month to celebrate the dedication of the college's Alumni Plaza and the rededication of the newly renovated Walter C. Hinkle/Robert Couse Bell Tower.

The Culinary Arts Department, School of Applied Technology, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, will hold a spaghetti dinner in the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus, Thursday, Oct. 18, from 5-7 p.m.  Cost of the dinner is $11 per person (tax included); cost for children 10 and under is $5. 

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College hosted NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Organic Agriculture Specialist Sarah Johnston recently for a full day of conversation on the needs of organic farmers in New York State and what role ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State's new Center for Organic and Sustainable Agriculture can play, now and in the future, at a WNY Organic Agriculture Roundtable.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College recently hosted Dr. Olivia Golden, NYS director of operations, who joined local college officials and government representatives in a discussion on workforce and economic development in Allegany County.

Community members are invited to attend the next such event-the grand opening of the new Student Gathering Place-a two-story addition that joins Central Dining Hall (CDH) with the Allied Health Building.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College students enrolled in several applied technology programs on the Wellsville campus worked cooperatively to complete house 47 on Meservey Hill in Wellsville.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College ornamental horticulture-landscape development student Matthew Buranich, Orchard Park, was awarded a scholarship by the Western New York Nursery and Landscape Association.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College ornamental horticulture-landscape design students put their skills to work helping the college grounds crew keep up with the beautification of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Campus.

In a prime example of education partnering with industry, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College students and faculty will join Dresser-Rand employees, high school technology teachers, and BOCES instructors, for a Dresser-Rand-sponsored trip to the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS).

NYS Sen. Catharine Young is expected to attend.
