ASC's 2009 Graduates Garner Placement/Transfer Record of 99 Percent

Fifty-nine percent of the ’09 graduates who responded to the survey are employed, while 40 percent opted to continue their education. One percent remain available for employment. Among those employed, 87 percent are working in jobs related to their college field of study. Read Article

Commencement 2010

Nearly 900 two- and four-year graduates, their families, professors, and friends were on hand Sunday, May 16, as ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College honored its 99th graduating class. Presiding over the ceremony, which was held at McLane Center on neighboring ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ University’s campus, was Dr. John M. Anderson, college president. Read Article

Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Thanks to the generosity of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State alumnus Bret Llewellyn, Buffalo, marketing, class of 1980,  there is a beautiful new art gallery on campus.  The Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery, located on the third floor of the Engineering Technology Building on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ campus, was dedicated recently during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Fifth Annual Dairy Consignment Sale and Silent Auction

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College’s CAL (Collegiate Agricultural Leaders) Club recently hosted its fifth annual dairy consignment sale and silent auction in the livestock pavilion at the college farm. ASC agriculture alumni and registered dairy breeders from across New York State consigned calves and heifers to support this major fund-raising event for CAL Club. Read Article

Topcon Positioning Systems Host Demonstration and Donate Equipment

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College’s surveying engineering technology program received a visit from Topcon Positioning Systems representatives who hosted a demonstration of Topcon equipment incorporating the latest technology in the land surveying field, including Global Positioning System (GPS), laser scanners, and integrated robotic total stations. Commencement To Be Held Sunday, May 16

Nearly 900 two- and four-year graduates, their families, professors, and friends will be on hand Sunday, May 16 at noon, as ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College honors its 99th graduating class. Commencement exercises are scheduled to be held at McLane Center on neighboring ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ University campus. Graduates will need to use the tickets in their graduation packets for their families’ admission. Read Article

ASC Receives $50,000 Gift

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College has received a gift of $50,000 from Laverne (’56) and Mary Lou Billings of Boynton Beach, FL, to support equipment purchases for the heavy equipment operations program. Read Article
