Garippa Named the 2008 Educator of the Year at NACAT Conference

John Garippa, associate professor, Automotive Trades Department, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, was recently named the 2008 Educator of the Year at the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) conference held recently at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport.  Read Article

"Drive and Ride" Event Sept. 29

The Automotive Trades Department of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (Wellsville Campus), in conjunction with Tenneco, is sponsoring a "Drive and Ride" event on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Wellsville Campus.  This event is open to the public free of charge. Read Article

Men's Soccer Moves In to Top Five

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team has moved into the top five of the newest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Pioneers are currently ranked #5 after starting the season with a 5-2 (5-1 in Region III Division III play) mark. Read Article

Cross Country Teams Move Up Poll to #5

Both the men's and women's cross country teams at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State moved up the polls in the latest NJCAA Division III rankings.  The men's team is currently ranked #5 while the women share the #5 ranking with Hudson Valley CC. Read Article

Volleyball Team Ranked #9

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team is ranked #9 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Lady Pioneers are currently 10-1 on the season after downing Monroe CC on Tuesday evening. Read Article

Homecoming/Family Weekend 2008 at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's first Homecoming/ Family weekend in a number of years was declared a success, despite the almost constant rain and a couple of unfortunate losses on the playing field. Read Article

Spikers win WNYAC Opener

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team opened up WNYAC play with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-20 victory over Monroe CC to improve to 10-1 (1-0 WNYAC) on the season.  The match was the team's first action at the Orvis Activities Center this season. Read Article

Pioneers Battle Bobcats Tough, But Fall in OT

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State and Bryant & Stratton battled back and forth for nearly 98 minutes before the Bobcats were able to score in the first overtime to earn a hard fought 1-0 victory.  The loss snaps the Pioneers (5-2, 5-1 Region III Division III) four-game winning streak while Bryant & Stratton, a NJCAA Division I program, improve to 4-1 on the season.
