Pioneers fall to Monroe in the Pool

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swimming team hung tough with Monroe CC but fell 111-80 in their lone home meet of the 2007-08 season.  On the women's side, the two Lady Pioneers swimmers netted 37 points but fell 97-37. Read Article

Lounsberry Moderates Panel

Dr. Gary Lounsberry, associate professor, Social and Behavioral Sciences Department at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, recently moderated a research panel presenting a series of papers on the theme "Evidence-based Practice in Public Health Social Work" at the annual conference of the American Public Health Association meeting in Washington, D.C., Nov. 3-7, 2007. ASC Among Top 10 Construction Schools

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College has been named to the top 10 undergraduate construction schools in Michael Nelson's inaugural rankings of the top undergraduate construction management and construction engineering programs in the nation. Read Article

A-State Downs Cayuga

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team got contributions from everyone as they downed Cayuga CC 66-51 on Tuesday evening.  All eleven players that dressed for the Pioneers scored as the Blue and Gold improved to 5-1 on the season. Read Article

Lady Pioneers even up record

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team evened up their record with a 67-43 victory over Cayuga CC on Tuesday evening.  The Lady Pioneers are improve to 2-2 on the year while the Lady Spartans fall to 2-2. Read Article

Pioneers can't rally all the way back

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team couldn't rally from a 10-point halftime and fell for the first time in the 2007-08 season 72-64 to Lakeland (OH) CC.  The Lakers improve to 3-1 while the Pioneers fall to 4-1. Read Article

Lady Pioneers drop heartbreaker

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State's 13 to 2 run in the final four minutes fell just short as the Lady Pioneers fell 55-54 to Lakeland (OH) CC on Sunday afternoon.  A-State trailed 53-41 with 3:55 remaining before going on their run to close within one.  ASC falls to 1-2 on the year while Lakeland improves to 4-0 (all wins versus WNYAC competition). Five Football Players honored by NFC

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team had five players honored by being named All-Northeast Football Conference.  Mike Septh (Monroe Woodbury), John Chisolm (Trenton, NJ), and Calvin Corbin (Winslow, NJ) were named to the 1st team while Vince DiMarco (Webster Thomas) and Nick Monroe (Irondequoit) were named 2nd team.
