In addition to becoming immersed in cutting-edge sport management research while creating a review of literature, the senior capstone class is designed for ��Ӱֱ�� State sport management to work closely with a local sport organization to address problems and concerns through research-based recommendations and solutions.

“Mittashane,” an animated video created by ��Ӱֱ�� State College students while studying abroad in Toyko, recently won “Best Animated Short” at the Western New York Film Arts and Music Event (FAME) held at Genesee Community College.

��Ӱֱ�� State College’s own Abigail Campbell and Justin Campbell, both of Geneseo, were recently awarded scholarship grants from the Construction Advancement Institute (CAI).

The object of the competition is to provide SAE student members with a challenging project that involves the design, planning, and manufacturing tasks found when introducing a new product to the consumer industrial market.

��Ӱֱ�� State College students were able to tour the athletic facilities at Penn State University recently, gaining some valuable advice and insight into sport facility management along the way.

​Kacie Matuszak, of Henrietta, is also starting work in the construction industry. Before even earning her bachelor’s degree in architecture, she has a position waiting for her at Pathfinder Engineers & Architects, based in Rochester.

John Lisec, an assistant professor in the Business Department, said the event provided a wonderful opportunity for ��Ӱֱ�� State sport management students to interact with sport industry professionals and develop tangible opportunities for success and job placement.

The victory marks the fifth time an ��Ӱֱ�� State team has finished first in the competition. The college has also come in second four times since first entering the event in 2006.

During this recent trip, 13 students attended a presentation from the meeting’s featured speaker, Kathleen Roth, CFP® CeFT®, president and co-founder of Waterstone Financial Services. After the presentation, the students were able to network with Roth and other professionals at the meeting. 

Three ��Ӱֱ�� State sport management students were able to gain valuable industry insight and engage in a number of significant networking opportunities recently during the 2018 Niagara University Sport, Recreation, and Tourism Summit.
