The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) recently hosted 10 ��Ӱֱ�� State students at the 17th annual Appalachian Teaching Project (ATP) symposium.

“Being able to experience and work behind-the-scenes of such a prestigious event opened up many opportunities,” Cassidy McCourt said. “As a host, our jobs began before the tournament did. It was our job to make sure everything ran smoothly and everyone adjusted well to being in Buffalo.” 

Murphy, an East Branch native who earned his digital media and animation bachelor’s degree from ��Ӱֱ�� State in May 2017, received the Grand Jury Award for his animated film, “Other Real.” 

Speaking to members of the Clarence Town Board, ASC architecture Design Studio 5 students recently presented their idea, which involves creating a huge campus where people would live, work, and play.

Competing against seven other schools, ��Ӱֱ�� State placed third in the design-build division in this year’s Associated Schools of Construction Region 1 Student Competition held last month in Albany.

Along the tour, students were connected with all phases of the creation of rail cars, from Web-based programming to live manufacturing.

The village of Canaseraga recently received some help with envisioning its comprehensive plan after ��Ӱֱ�� State architecture students presented their designs for the future layout of the municipality recently at the Canaseraga High School.

Visitors to Buffalo’s Guaranty Building may witness the talented work of ��Ӱֱ�� State architecture students when viewing an impressive replica model now permanently on display in the first floor. 

As a result of the skills and knowledge she has gained in her sport management major and a connection she made on LinkedIn, Kiana Sleight was able to assist one of the most storied college basketball schools of all-time with its 2017 Countdown to Craziness night: Duke University.
