The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's soccer team got the offense going in a 6-0 victory over Cayuga CC on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the team to 3-6-3 on the year and 3-5-2 in Region III Division III play.

Nine different Pioneers were credited with points as the ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team downed Cayuga CC 8-0. The #4 ranked blue & gold scored four goals in each half to improve to 10-1 (9-0 Region III Division III) on the year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State volleyball team had another impressive Saturday as they swept through the Finger Lakes CC Pod. With wins over Mohawk Valley CC, SUNY Delhi, and Herkimer CCC the Lady Pioneers are now 17-7 overall and 12-3 in Region III Division III play.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team won their ninth straight with a 5-0 victory over Erie CC at Jim Ball Stadium in Orchard Park. The #4 ranked Lady Pioneers are now 9-1 on the season and 8-0 in Region III Division III play.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State volleyball team fell 17-25, 22-25, 22-25 to Jamestown CC in a WNYAC match on Wednesday evening. The Lady Pioneers are now 14-7, 1-3 WNYAC while the Jayhawks are 17-5, 2-2 WNYAC.

“The purpose of the ��Ӱֱ�� State Community Garden is to provide students and community members with hands-on experiences in sustainable agriculture techniques,” said ��Ӱֱ�� State’s Chief Sustainability Officer Julian Dautremont-Smith. “The aim is to produce food locally and to reduce campus waste production by providing a site to compost food waste.”

The ��Ӱֱ�� State athletic department will induct five new members into the hall of fame during 2012 Homecoming/Family Weekend festivities. Longtime athletic director Kathy Feldman, basketball player Larry Mulcahy, softball player Jodie Corsi, cross country & track and field athlete David Dominguez, and pole vaulter Kurt Dunn will join the Hall of Fame on October 12th.

Both ��Ӱֱ�� State cross country teams have moved up the #2 spot in the latest NJCAA Division III poll. The men made a jump from the #7 spot last week while the women climbed from the #5 spot.

Riding an eight-game winning streak, the ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team moved up one spot in this week's NJCAA Division III poll. The blue & gold now hold the #4 spot in the top ten poll after holding the #5 spot the past two weeks.

The #7 seeded ��Ӱֱ�� State baseball team gave #2 Mercyhurst North East all they could handle but the Saints escaped with a 7-6 ten-inning victory in a WNYAC 1st Round contest. MNE advances to the WNYAC Final Four and will take on the winner of the #3 Erie CC/#6 Jamestown CC contest.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team continued their solid play with a 5-0 win over Jamestown CC - Olean Campus. The Lady Pioneers are now 8-1 on the season and 7-0 in Region III Division III play.

Football player Collin Frazer (Woodbridge, VA) has been named the ��Ӱֱ�� State athlete of the week. Frazer was instrumental in the Pioneers 32-13 victory over Stevens Tech on Saturday.

The men's basketball team will host a blood drive on Friday, September 28th in Braddon Hall. Partnering with the Community Blood Bank, donors will have the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to the Buffalo Bills game vs. the Miami Dolphins with their donation.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State baseball team will travel to Mercyhurst North East on Tuesday to take on the #2 seed Saints in the opening round of the WNYAC Tournament. MNE enters the tournament with a 5-3 record while the Pioneers are 0-10.

Several new faculty and staff members have joined ��Ӱֱ�� State in Academic Affairs, Administration and Enrollment, Institutional Advancement, Marketing Communications, and Student Affairs.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State volleyball team won one of three matches at the Erie CC Pod. They fell 3-1 to Niagara CCC (14-25, 23-25, 25-23, 20-25), defeated Erie CC 3-1 (25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23), and lost a heartbreaking 3-2 final to Jamestown CC (20-25, 15-25, 25-22, 25-18, 6-15).

Special teams, especially the punting game, played a huge role as ��Ӱֱ�� State defeat Stevens Tech 32-13 to improve to 2-1 on the year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team defeated Niagara CCC 5-1 to earn their seventh straight victory. The #5 ranked Lady Pioneers are now 7-1 on the season.

��Ӱֱ�� State and Niagara CCC played to a 2-2 tie on Saturday afternoon. With the tie the Pioneers are now 2-5-3 on the season.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State cross country teams had a strong showing at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational on Saturday. The men's team finished 7th out of 15 teams while the women were 9th out of 13 teams.

Saturday's ��Ӱֱ�� State baseball doubleheader at Jamestown CC has been cancelled and will not be made up.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team won their sixth straight as they stung Broome CC 2-0. The Pioneers used two pretty first half goals to improve to 6-1 on the year while the Lady Hornets fall to 4-3.

Broome CC scored three goals in the 2nd half to earn a 3-0 victory over ��Ӱֱ�� State on Thursday evening. The Hornets improve to 4-3 on the year while the Pioneers fall to 2-5-2.

��Ӱֱ�� State travels to Stevens Tech (Lancaster, PA) on Saturday looking to win game #2 of the season.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State volleyball team knocked off #7 Niagara CCC in a five game thriller, 25-19, 14-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11. The Lady Pioneers improve to 13-4 on the year while the Lady Thunderwolves are now 11-2.

Winners of five straight matches, the ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team remains ranked #5 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll. The Lady Pioneers are 5-1 on the season.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State cross country teams remained in the NJCAA Division III cross country poll following a strong showing at the Finger Lakes CC Invitational last Saturday. The women remain ranked #5 while the men moved up one spot to #7.

��Ӱֱ�� State freshman soccer player Hannah Holmok (��Ӱֱ�� Almond) has been named the college's athlete of the week by the sports information department. Holmok accumulated nine points in the Lady Pioneers two victories last week.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team outshot Genesee CC 34 to 5 and earned a 3-1 victory on a rainy Tuesday evening. The #5 ranked Lady Pioneers have five straight wins and improve to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in Region III Division III play.
