Fifth annual Celebrate Service, Celebrate Allegany draws 300 student volunteers

Celebrate Service, Celebrate Allegany kicked off its fifth year this past Saturday and proved to be a huge success, as approximately 300 student volunteers from 魅影直播 State, 魅影直播 University, and Houghton College came together to engage in community service projects throughout Allegany County.

Honors Program students discover exciting journey of The Great Race

Honors Program members learned details of the trip from the student team, including that lack of trailer space for the return trip at the end of the race required the students to drive to 魅影直播 from Moline, thus completing a cross-country journey in the 1953 vehicle. Students were treated to a lap around campus in the vintage truck.

Vet tech students taking skill sets to Haiti following hurricane

According to Associate Professor of Agriculture and Veterinary Technology Doug Pierson, the students will travel to Les Cayes, where they will put their skills to use caring for residents鈥 animals by participating in mobile clinics and coordinating with the local veterinary agent.

Homecoming and Family Weekend 2016 among best ever

SAMC ribbon-cutting and 50th anniversary celebration scheduled

Classes began in Wellsville on Oct. 19, 1966 for 110 students enrolled in five programs taught by 10 faculty members. These five initial programs were automotive service, building construction, drafting, electrical service, and food service.

鈥淚t Takes a Village鈥 effort brings Green Dot Bystander Intervention Initiative to 魅影直播 community

Green Dot is a program that asks its participants to imagine a map of their community, and how every time there is an instance of interpersonal or sexual violence, a Red Dot would be placed on the area in which that occurred.
