“I was impressed with how the students were so dedicated to helping,” she said. “The students were eager to get their hands dirty and make an impact on the community. As students who are familiar with hands-on learning, they jumped right into the tasks they were assigned on day one," said Amy Miller.

Doors for the event will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Campus Store in the Student Leadership Center for $12 for the general public and $5 for students.

��Ӱֱ�� State College is excited to announce that it will soon launch the first four-year agriculture program in the school’s history.

Participating districts included Addison, ��Ӱֱ��-Almond, Archbishop Walsh STCS, Bolivar-Richburg, Cassadaga Valley, Friendship, Hinsdale, Hornell, Houghton Academy, Lima Christian School, Portville, Prattsburgh, and St. Ann’s Academy.

A total of 54 students from three schools competed against each other in one of the nation’s most prestigious showcases of career and technical aptitude. Schools competing this year included State University of New York (SUNY) College of Technology at ��Ӱֱ��, SUNY Delhi, and the Culinary Institute of America.

Campus Compact, a Boston-based non-profit organization working to advance the public purposes of higher education, has announced the 262 students who will make up the organization’s 2019-2020 cohort of Newman Civic Fellows, including ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s own Riko Hayano.

��Ӱֱ�� State’s Center for Intercultural Unity is pleased to host a unique exploration of indigenous culture from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday, March 28 in the Orvis Activities Center’s Cappadonia Auditorium.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State Esports team launched this spring, and affords students the opportunity to go head-to-head against other colleges in many competitive games, including Overwatch, Rainbow Siege Six, League of Legends, and Super Smash Bros.

Taking place July 28-30, the institute is hosted by the New York State STEM Education Collaborative and provides a way for kindergarten-through-college-level educators to learn new techniques for engaging students of all ages in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers.
