÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) netted 31 points as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team defeated a fiesty Niagara CCC 72-65 in Sanborn on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers are now 9-10 overall on the season and 4-3 in Region III Division II contests.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team shot 48% from beyond the three-point arc in a 80-63 WNYAC road victory at Genesee CC.  The Pioneers have won four straight and improve to 12-10 overall and 4-4 in WNYAC action.

Genesee CC shot 48% from the field as they knocked off the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team 106-54 in a WNYAC match-up on Thursday.  The Lady Pioneers fall to 8-10 overall and 3-3 in Region III Division II games.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team downed Mercyhurst North East 18-17 to earn their first dual match victory of the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team spent this past weekend at Jamestown CC competing on both Friday and Saturday.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College freshman Wenley Louis (Irondequoit) has been named the Region III male athlete of the week.  Louis had a solid performance at the Colgate Class of '32 Invitational over the weekend.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball used a 29-0 run en route to a 87-58 victory over the JV squad from Ithaca College.  The Pioneers have won three straight and are 11-10 on the season.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore infielder Derek Speaker (Starpoint) has been named to the NJCAA Division II Pre-season All-American 1st team.  Speaker is the only representative of Region III in the any of the three teams.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore outfielder Katherine McCarthy (Orchard Park) has been named a NJCAA Division III 2nd team pre-season All-American.  McCarthy is one of six players from Region III to be honored.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team used an early run to take control in a 82-70 victory over Medaille College JV on Sunday afternoon.  The Pioneers even up their record with the victory at 10-10.
