Pioneer Swimmers Compete at Fredonia

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swimming team competed versus NCAA Division III competition at the SUNY Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational this weekend.  The Pioneers scored 288 points in the three-day event.

Lady Pioneers Down Elmira JV

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team raced out to a 37-16 lead at halftime en route to a 57-47 victory over Elmira JV on Sunday afternoon.  The win snaps a two game slide and improves the Lady Pioneers to 4-6 on the season.

Doorley Named Coach of the Year

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball coach Gene Doorley has earned two national Coach of the Year awards.  For the third straight season Doorley has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association Northeast Coach of the Year and for the second straight season he has been named the NJCAA Division III District A Coach of the Year.

Lady Pioneers fall to U of R

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team fell 72-65 to the JV squad from the University of Rochester on Thursday evening.  U of R was 12 for 13 from the foul line to seal the victory.

Toyodome and Jerome Named All-American

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomores Yurika Toyodome (Tokyo, Japan) and Jenni Jerome (Syracuse/Westhill) have been named All-Americans by the Division III of the NJCAA.  Toyodome was a first team selection while Jerome was named honorable mention.

Pioneers fall versus Finger Lakes

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team rallied from a 22-point second half deficit to cut it to three, 67-64, but couldn't make it all the way back and fell 69-64 to Finger Lakes CC.  ASC falls to 6-6 on the season.

Lady Pioneer Comeback Falls Short

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team couldn't come back from a first half deficit and fell 64-50 to Finger Lakes CC on Tuesday.  FLCC used a 17-0 run in the last seven minutes of the half to lead 31-17 and held off a Lady Pioneer second half rally that closed the gap to four points. 

Brooks Named Region Athlete of the Week

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball player Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named the Region III female athlete of the week.  Brooks led her team to the championship of the ASC Tournament with victories over Jefferson CC, 63-45, and Dean College, 76-69.

Pioneer Men Finish 8th at Half Marathon

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State runners finished in 8th place out of 17 teams at the NJCAA Half Marathon National Championship this past weekend at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas.

Pioneers win Consolation Game

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team erased a 45-42 deficit with a 33-6 run in the 2nd half en route to a 79-57 victory over Dean College in the consolation game of the ASC Tournament.  ASC enters the Thanksgiving break with a 6-5 record.
