Lady Spikers Falls In Four

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball team opened up WNYAC play on Tuesday evening at Genesee CC but couldn't keep early momentum going and fell 25-17, 19-25, 18-25, and 17-25 to the Lady Cougars.  The Lady Pioneers are now 1-3 on the year.

Taylor Named NFC Special Teams POTW

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore safety Sir Aaron Taylor (Westchester/Lincoln Hall) has been named the Northeast Football Conference special teams player of the week.  Taylor was key to the Pioneers 22-7 victory over the Apprentice School.

ASC-MVCC Play to a Draw

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State and Mohawk Valley CC played to a 2-2 draw on day two of the East-West Showdown at Pioener Stadium.   ASC is now 1-0-1 on the young season while MVCC is 3-0-1.

Early Goal Lifts ASC past Delhi

Lucas Wales (Bath Haverling) scored 4:04 into the first half on a direct kick to lift ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State to a 1-0 victory over SUNY Delhi in the Pioneers season opener.  The game is part of the East-West Showdown held at Pioneer Stadium.

Baseball Drops Two 1-Run Contests

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team fell 5-4 and 4-3 to Mercyhurst North East as they opened up play in their 2010 fall season.  The Saints broke a 4-4 tie in the first game with a run in the bottom of the 6th and used a walk-off single in the 7th to win the nightcap.

Lady Spikers Finish 1-2 at Pioneer Classic

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team finished 1-2 in pool play of the inaugural Pioneer Classic.  The Pioneers fell 20-25, 25-23, and 10-15 to Nassau CC, defeated Finger Lakes CC 25-18 and 26-24, and dropped a three gamer to Herkimer CCC, 25-14, 23-25, 11-15.

Pioneers Win Football Opener

Sir Aaron Taylor (West Chester/Lincoln Hall) returned the opening kickoff of the second half 86-yards for a score to break a 7-7 tie and lead ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State to a 22-7 victory over the Apprentice School (Newport News, VA) in their 2010 season opener.

Cross Country Teams Debut in Top Ten

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College cross country teams have yet to compete but both the men and women's teams are ranked in the first NJCAA Division III poll of the year.  The men are ranked #2 while the women are ranked #8.

ASC High School Friendly Collects Food for Local Pantry

For the fourth straight year the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College cross country team hosted a High School Friendly scrimmage on the college's course.  This year over 60 high school athletes from Hornell, Canisteo Greenwood, Dansville, Cuba Rushford, and Bath ran the college's 5k course as they prepare for the start of their seasons.
