Architectural designs produced by architectural technology juniors Kyle Perry of Frewsburg and Steven Buchanan of Olean were displayed at the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Rochester Chapter meeting held Dec. 14 at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).

��Ӱֱ�� State’s Craig Clark, executive director of the Wellsville campus and dean of the School of Applied Technology and William Dean, professor of Architecture and Design, have been named as Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Teaching Fellows.

��Ӱֱ�� State President Dr. John M. Anderson has announced that he will be leaving the college effective March 31 to assume the presidency of Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

��Ӱֱ�� State Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology Department students hosted an open house last week to unveil two electric maintenance vehicles that they restored and enhanced with sophisticated performance monitoring features.

WINS member Carley Youngman of Spencerport, a junior in architectural technology and construction management engineering technology, helped collect a total of $194 for breast cancer research.

��Ӱֱ�� State’s WINS Club (Women in Non-traditional Studies) held its “Women in the Field” dinner on campus this month which was attended by 26 WINS members and special guests.

Three ��Ӱֱ�� State students have been awarded cash prizes for architectural sketches they produced while participating in ��Ӱֱ�� State’s study abroad program in Sorrento, Italy earlier this year.

Deschamps is a junior studying architectural technology at ��Ӱֱ�� State. He was selected for the scholarship out of more than 2,600 applications and will receive $4,500 from the organization to participate in ��Ӱֱ�� State’s study abroad program in Sorrento, Italy in January.

��Ӱֱ�� State student Kodie Tompkins is one of three area students who have been awarded a total of $6,000 in scholarship funds from the Rochester chapter of the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) and the Architectural Foundation of Greater Rochester.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State website was recently awarded a gold medal for creative design in the MarCom Awards 2012 competition and a silver medal for creative design by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (Davey Awards).
