Students in ��Ӱֱ�� State’s Culinary Arts Program will be hosting their annual spaghetti dinner on Thursday, Oct. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Culinary Arts Center on the Wellsville campus of ��Ӱֱ�� State.

“The purpose of the ��Ӱֱ�� State Community Garden is to provide students and community members with hands-on experiences in sustainable agriculture techniques,” said ��Ӱֱ�� State’s Chief Sustainability Officer Julian Dautremont-Smith. “The aim is to produce food locally and to reduce campus waste production by providing a site to compost food waste.”

“Inclusion on this prestigious listing confirms our commitment to providing service men and women with a supportive learning environment for their transition into civilian life,” said Dr. John M. Anderson, ��Ӱֱ�� State president.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State athletic department will induct five new members into the hall of fame during 2012 Homecoming/Family Weekend festivities. Longtime athletic director Kathy Feldman, basketball player Larry Mulcahy, softball player Jodie Corsi, cross country & track and field athlete David Dominguez, and pole vaulter Kurt Dunn will join the Hall of Fame on October 12th.

Several new faculty and staff members have joined ��Ӱֱ�� State in Academic Affairs, Administration and Enrollment, Institutional Advancement, Marketing Communications, and Student Affairs.

��Ӱֱ�� State ranks no. 7 among top public schools/regional colleges (north) according to the most recent U.S. News and World Report’s 2013 Best Colleges report.

��Ӱֱ�� State announces the official appointment of Hollie Hall to the position of senior director of health and wellness services.

Most football players dream of one day playing on the biggest stage but few have the chance. Former ��Ӱֱ�� State and Temple University wide receiver Rod Streater achieved his dream and made his NFL debut as a starting wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders as they took on the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football.

��Ӱֱ�� State Alum Rod Streater has made the Oakland Raiders 53-man opening day roster. Streater had an impressive preseason and is currently listed 3rd on the depth chart.
