��Ӱֱ�� State is celebrating International Week this week and kicked off events on Sunday. Nov. 11, with discussions led by a group of visiting Humphrey Fellows on topics that ranged from living in Africa today to arranged marriages, and clean-up work on the Ganges River in India.

“The support Pat Fogarty has given ��Ӱֱ�� State over the years is immeasurable. It has enabled us to flourish as an institution and to prepare students to shape the world of tomorrow in powerful and meaningful ways,” said ��Ӱֱ�� State President John M. Anderson.

Thirty-seven ��Ӱֱ�� State students, faculty and staff traveled to SUNY College at Old Westbury on Long Island last Thursday, Nov. 8, to spend the weekend helping the college recover from storm damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

��Ӱֱ�� State President John Anderson, assisted by daughter Katie Anderson, met recently with ��Ӱֱ�� State Honors Program members to explain the ‘national popular vote’ movement regarding the election of the president of the U.S.

International Week, Nov. 11-16, kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 11 when a group of visiting Humphrey Fellows from Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Ethiopia, and Lesotho will be on campus for a discussion on “Life in Africa Now”.

��Ӱֱ�� State’s New Horizons Forum is hosting “Mongolian Families: Modern Nomadic Life”, a presentation by Dr. Lou Ann Woolman on Monday, Nov. 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the School of Engineering Technology (SET) building, Room 215. A reception will be held before the presentation at 6 p.m. in the SET gallery outside Room 215.

Neil Benedict, associate vice president of student life at ��Ӱֱ�� State, met with members of the college’s Honors Program on Oct. 29. As Hurricane Sandy pummeled the campus, Benedict walked the students through his 32 years at the college working in a variety of positions.

��Ӱֱ�� State has received the Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System (STARS) Bronze Rating for its sustainability achievements.

��Ӱֱ�� State Football coach Mick Caba is part of the 2012 NJCAA Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class. Caba, in his 13th season at the helm of the Pioneer football program is joined in the class by Terrence Cody (defensive linemen from Mississippi Gulf Coast CC) and the 1983 Coffeyville CC football team.
