Campus is Saddened by Loss of Student

The campus community is saddened to learn of the death of Anthony Carino, who died Friday evening in a Rochester-area hospital.  Cause of death has not been released by the hospital. Anthony was a senior in ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's architectural technology program.  College officials-on behalf of the entire campus community-extend their deepest sympathy to Anthony's family and friends. Big Third Quarter Leads Lacrosse to Win

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team scored 12 unanswered goals to erase a 7-5 halftime deficit to en route to a 19-8 victory over Cayuga CC on Tuesday evening.  The win improves the Pioneers to 4-1 (3-0 Region III). Read Article

Lady Pioneers sweep Erie

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team ran their winning streak to four games with a doubleheader sweep at Erie CC.  The Lady Pioneers improve to 5-7 on the season with 23-1 and 5-2 victories. Read Article

Baseball Sweeps Tompkins Cortland

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team jumped over .500 with a home doubleheader sweep of Tompkins Cortland CC on Tuesday.  ASC scored a run in the 7th to win the opener 3-2 and then got the offense going in a 11-2 victory in game two.  The Pioneers are now 10-9-1 on the season. Read Article

57th Annual Alumni Choral Spring Concert Scheduled

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College presents the 57thAnnual Alumni Choral Spring concert, under the direction of Anthony Cappadonia, ASC director of vocal music emeritus.  The concert will be held Sunday, April 20, at 2 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center Auditorium on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College campus. The concert is open to the public free of charge and features the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Alumni Choir; the Alumni Jazz Singers, the '87 Collegiate Quartet, and Andy's A cappella Armada. Read Article

Track Starts Fast in Outdoor Opener

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College outdoor track and field team finally got their 2008 season started in the sunshine at the University of Rochester on Sunday afternoon.  The Pioneers put together some impressive performances in their season opener. Read Article

Pios split with Hagerstown

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team defeated Hagerstown CC 5-0 in the nightcap to earn a split of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.  The Pioneers are now 8-9-1 on the season. Read Article

Lady Pioneers sweep Elmira JV

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team opened up the Northern portion of their schedule with a doubleheader sweep of Elmira College JV on Thursday evening.  The Blue and Gold won the opener 11-7 and the nightcap 12-0.  ASC improves to 3-7 on the year. Read Article

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team won their second straight and improved to 3-1 (2-0 Region III) with a 17-11 victory at Genesee CC on Thursday.  ASC outscored GCC 7-1 in the 3rd quarter to take full control of the contest. Read Article

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team split a Region III doubleheader versus Corning CC on Thursday at Bolivar Richburg High School.  The Red Barons took the opener 4-0 while the Pioneers won the nightcap 12-3. Read Article
