Manage Your Small Woodlot for Fun and Income: Alternative Forest Farming Enterprises

Blue and Gold open up New Stadium with Victory

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team opened up the new on-campus athletic field with an impressive 18-10 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Tuesday afternoon.  The Pioneers outscored the Saints 7 to 2 in the 2nd quarter to take solid lead that they never relinquised.  With the win, A-State improves to 2-1 (1-0 Region III) while Mercyhurst falls to 2-4 (1-2 Region III). Professionals Attend Conference on Aging

About 150 professionals convened on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College recently to attend the fourth annual Conference on Aging. Rose Marie Fagan, outreach coordinator, The Pioneer Network, who served as the morning's keynote speaker, discussed pioneering approaches to change the culture of aging from the traditional nursing facilities to a culture that is life affirming, satisfying, humane, and meaningful. First-Place Winners Announced For SkillsUSA Day Leadership Conference and Skills Olympics

Students from Region I BOCES (Board of Cooperative Education and Services) districts--encompassing Western New York and the Southern Tier--competed recently in a SkillsUSA (formerly Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) Day leadership conference and skills Olympics at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, on both the Wellsville and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ campuses, earlier this month. Chinese Delegation Visits ASC

Through the efforts of Office of International Education, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College hosted a delegation from China on March 22. The delegation consisted of 16 leaders from the Chinese education department, colleges, and high schools. Read Article

Electrical Engineering Department Hosts Jamestown Technical Academy

The Electrical Engineering Department at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College recently hosted 15 high school students from the Jamestown Technical Academy for a day-long workshop which provided an overview of programs offered by that department. Read Article

Pioneers Earn Win & Tie at Lackawanna

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team began the Northern portion of their season with a pair of extra innings contests at Lackawanna College.  The Pioneers won the opener 7-5 in eight innings while the nightcap finished tied at 4-4 after eight innings. Read Article
