Corbett Sets New School Record as Pioneers Tune up for Regionals

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore swimmer Kaitlyn Corbett (Clarence) set a new school record in teh 100 backstroke as the Pioneers wrapped up the invitational portion of their schedule at the Genesee CC Cougar Winter Classic on Saturday.  Corbett swam a 1:07.86 to win the event and set a new school standard. The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team could never get anything going and fell 100-43 to NJCAA Division I power Monroe CC on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers fall to 12-6 (3-2 WNYAC) on the season. Read Article

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team had its chances versus #8 Monroe CC but couldn't overcome 35 turnovers and 15 missed foul shots.  The Tribunes held on for a 63-54 victory. Read Article

For the second time in three weeks the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College track and field team had a strong showing at RIT.  On Friday evening, the Pioneers had several impressive performances as they competed versus mainly NCAA Division III competition. Read Article

Blue and Gold win tight one over Niagara

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team overcame a slow start and 23 turnovers to down Niagara County CC 72-68 in a WNYAC contest at the Orvis Activities Center on Thursday evening.  With the victory the Blue and Gold improve to 15-5 (4-1 WNYAC) on the season. Read Article

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team bounced back from their first WNYAC loss on Tuesday with an impressive 81-31 victory over Niagara County CC on Thursday evening.  ASC improves to 12-5 (3-1 WNYAC) with the victory. Read Article

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore forward Tiffany McLaughlin (Wellsville) has been named the NJCAA Division II co-player of the week.  McLaughlin shares the honor with Megan Waggoner (Johnson County CC). Read Article

Mardi Gras Dinner

Students enrolled in the culinary arts programs at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will prepare a Mardi Gras celebration, featuring a New Orleans-style menu, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 5-7 p.m., in the student cafeteria of the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus. Read Article

Both Basketball Teams Receving Votes in National Poll

Both the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's and women's basketball teams received votes in the NJCAA Division II poll released this morning.  This is the first time this season either team has been in the poll. Read Article

Pioneers suffer first WNYAC loss

All five starters on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team finished in double-figures but Genesee CC hit 12-three pointers en route to a 88-80 victory.  ASC falls to 14-5 (3-1 WNYAC) while GCC improves to 8-11. Read Article
