Gregory and Moyer Named Athletes of the Week

Ag Skills Day

Some 270 high school students from 13 local and regional school systems participated in the 22nd annual Agricultural Skills Day held at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College in October.  Students from ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥-Almond; Cassadaga Valley; CG May (Mt. Morris); Cuba-Rushford; Fillmore; Genesee Valley; Hewes Educational Center (Erie CCB); Letchworth; LoGuidice Educational Center (Fredonia); Olean BOCES; Pine Valley; Prattsburg; and Randolph participated in one of five different skills competitions. Lady Spikers fall in WNYAC Finals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team downed Jamestown CC (17-30, 30-24, 30-16, 30-19) in the Western New York Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals but fell to Genesee CC (31-33, 28-30, 25-30) in the finals. Read Article

Pioneers fall in final seconds

Corey Metcalfe scored with under ten seconds remaining to lift #9 Finger Lakes CC to a 2-1 victory over #8 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State in a Region III Division III Tournament 1st round contest.  The Lakers improve to 11-8 and move on to the quarterfinals to take on #1 SUNY Cobleskill while the Pioneers end their season with a 7-7-2 record. Lady Pioneers fall to Delhi

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's soccer team fell 5-1 to SUNY Delhi in a 1st round Region III Division III contest on Saturday afternoon.  The Lady Pioneers end their season 7-8-1 while the Lady Broncos advance to the quarterfinals on Tuesday afternoon. Read Article

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Falls to Erie

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team never could get their offense going and fell 24-6 to Erie CC in a Northeast Football Conference contest played in very windy conditions in Orchard Park. ECC clinches a spot in the Region III Championship game and improves to 5-2 (3-2 NFC) on the year while ASC falls to 3-5 (0-3 NFC). Read Article

Humphrey Fellowship Program

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, in conjunction with Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, is participating in the Humphrey Fellowship program, which brings to the United States accomplished mid-level professionals from designated countries that have a wide range of development needs.  Read Article

Arbor Project Outside Admin Building

Unseasonably mild autumn weather allowed ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Building Trades students to complete work on "the arbor project," a beautification initiative located next to the Administration Building on the School of Applied Technology campus in Wellsville. Read Article

Braun named NJCAA Setter of the Week

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore setter Elaina Braun (Waterloo) of fifth-ranked Lady Pioneers has been named the NJCAA Division III volleyball setter of the week. Braun is the second Lady Pioneer to be honored by NJCAA Volleyball (Jenni Jerome). Read Article

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team saw their 17-match winning streak snapped in their WNYAC regular season finale.  Genesee CC improved to 29-12 (6-0 WNYAC) and secured the #1 seed with a 30-13, 30-24, 20-30, 30-19.  Read Article
