Jack Jones, chair of ��Ӱֱ�� State’s Building Trades Department, said the Careers in Construction event provided students with great insight into careers in the residential arm of construction. 

“These trips broaden the horizons of our students. For some, this is their first opportunity to see the world beyond their home,” said Jones.

The purpose of the project, Jones said, is to determine if shipping containers can be repurposed into high-efficiency housing or office units, and also to provide students with a new form of applied learning.

The cost of the dinner is $17 per adult and $10 for children 10 and under.

“The lift is an incredibly generous donation that will be used for educational and campus support purposes for many years to come,” Eric Wilmot said.

A team of Pioneers once again had an amazing time competing in the thrilling classic car competition. The 2019 event took place from June 22-30, beginning in Riverside, CA, and continuing about 2,300 miles north until the final finish line in Tacoma, WA. 

��Ӱֱ�� State Automotive Trades students had an excellent showing at the annual Toyota Green Grand Prix at Watkins Glen International Raceway earlier this month. The Pioneers assisted other racers and ended up earning individual and team awards in several different categories.

Set for 5-7 p.m. Feb. 14, the dinner is open to the public and will take place at The Rig, which is located inside the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus. The cost of the meal is $25 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. No reservations will be accepted.

Students in ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s heavy equipment: truck and diesel technician program are now able to take their applied learning to the next level thanks to a recent bus donation by the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA). 

Showcasing their holiday spirit along with their baking and decorating skills, ��Ӱֱ�� State College students took first and third place in the College category in the annual Niagara Falls Culinary Institute Gingerbread Competition.
