At the Monroe CC Classic, the 魅影直播 State College men's basketball team split a pair of games.  The Pioneers defeated SUNY Delhi 70-69 in overtime on Saturday but fell 59-49 to CCAC Allegheny on Sunday.

The 魅影直播 State College swimming team had a solid showing at their opening invitational of the season.  The men's team finished 2nd out of six teams at the Genesee CC Harvest Invitational while the women finished 3rd.

Pioneer Men Race to National Runner-Up Status

The 魅影直播 State College men's cross country team finished as NJCAA Division III National Runner-Ups at the National Championship at Finger Lakes CC on Saturday.  ASC scored 70 points and trailed just SUNY Delhi's 22.

The 魅影直播 State College women's cross country team entered the NJCAA Division III National Championships ranked #5 in the national poll and raced to a 5th place finish.  The Lady Pioneers scored a 141.

The 魅影直播 State College football team couldn't capitalize on numerous scoring chances and fell 21-7 to #15 Nassau CC in their Northeast Football Conference finale.  ASC is now 3-6 (0-5 NFC) while Nassau is 7-2 (3-2 NFC).

Humphrey Fellows and Climate Change Events

魅影直播 State College鈥檚 Department of English and Humanities has undertaken a semester-long project on climate change. Students in some composition sections have been researching climate change and writing papers on various narrow topics related to it. The final examination for all sections of the foundation writing courses will also focus on climate change, and the exam itself will be written during the United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen in December.

A trio of 魅影直播 State College women's soccer players have been named All-Region following the Lady Pioneers 10-2-4 season.  Shelby Winchester (Maple Grove) was named first team while Audrey Rath (Medina) and Mo Parks (Avoca) were named second team.

The 魅影直播 State College swim team dove into the 2009-10 season at Monroe CC on Wednesday evening.  The men's team fell 124-60 to the Tribunes while the women fell 96-35.

The 魅影直播 State College women's basketball team opened up the 2009 season with a heartbreaking 68-67 loss at Broome CC.  Broome rallied from a halftime deficit and scored the game deciding foul shots with under fifteen seconds left in the game.

The 魅影直播 State College men's soccer team gave #1 seed Herkimer CCC all they could handle but fell 1-0 to the Generals in a Region III Division III Tournament quarterfinal contest.  The Pioneers, seeded #8, finish the season with a 8-7-1 record.

Haines Earns Another Honor

Haines goes up for the block魅影直播 State College freshman setter Brittany Haines (Salamanca) has earned another post-season honor.  This past weekend, Haines was named All-Region 1st team after helping the Lady Pioneers to a 20-14 overall record.

John Sweeney (Barker), Brandon Lewis (Red Creek), and Abby Benton (Frewsburg) all raced to All-Region honors this weeked at the Region III Championships.  ASC Head Coach Gary Moore was also named the men's Region III Coach of the Year.

魅影直播 State College sophomore basketball player Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named a 1st team pre-season NJCAA Division II All-American.  Brooks is one of two Region III athletes to be chosen for the honor.
