Lady Pioneers Win Third Straight

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team raced out to an early lead and never looked back in a 85-39 victory over Roberts Wesleyan JV on Thursday evening. The Lady Pioneers have now won three in a row and are 3-1 on the year.

Second Half Run Lifts Cuyahoga past ASC

Cuyahoga (OH) CC used a 20 to 5 run in the second half to break a 42-42 tie en route to a 71-62 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State on Thursday evening. The Pioneers are now 2-4 on the year.

Moore Named Coach of the Year

Gary Moore has been named the NJCAA Division III men's cross country coach of the year following ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State's 2nd place finish at the National Championships. Moore was chosen for the award by his fellow coaches.

Four Pioneers Run to All-American Honors

Four members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College cross country team ran to NJCAA Division III honors with top 15 finishes at the National Championships last weekend at Finger Lakes CC. John Sweeney (Barker) earned first team, Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) and Carey Crooker (Addison) earned second team, and Joe Seitz (Williamsville North) was third team.

Wrestlers Open up Season with Victory

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team opened up the 2009-10 season with a convincing 36-12 victory over Jamestown CC. The Pioneers won eight of the nine matches wrestled.

Pioneers Fall in Final Seconds

Cayuga CC hit two foul shots with 6.8 seconds remaining to defeat the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball 81-80. The Pioneers fall to 2-3 on the season.

Coates' Late Jumper Leads Lady Pioneers to Victory

Megan Coates (Nazareth) hit a 10 foot jumper with four seconds left to lift the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team to a 72-71 victory over Cayuga CC on Tuesday evening. The Lady Pioneers improve to 2-1 on the year.

Pioneers Split a Pair at Monroe Classic

At the Monroe CC Classic, the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team split a pair of games. The Pioneers defeated SUNY Delhi 70-69 in overtime on Saturday but fell 59-49 to CCAC Allegheny on Sunday.

Swimming: Men 2nd, Women 3rd at GCC Invite

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College swimming team had a solid showing at their opening invitational of the season. The men's team finished 2nd out of six teams at the Genesee CC Harvest Invitational while the women finished 3rd.
