Pioneers Rally Falls Short

Trailing 35-7 with under eleven minutes remaining ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College put forth a valiant comeback but was unable to make it all the way back.  Dean College improves to 8-1 (3-1 NFC) with the 35-27 victory at Pioneer Stadium.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Second at Regionals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's cross country team finished second out of seven teams at the Region III Championships held at SUNY Delhi on Saturday.  The women's team was incomplete after the flu-bug ravished the team.

Men's Soccer: Five Named All-WNYAC

Five members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team have earned All-WNYAC honors.  Kevin Arilotta (Churchville), Masanari Yamamoto (Tokyo, Japan), Erik Reynolds (East Rochester), and Dan Krajcir (Gloversville) were first team selections while Steven Hickey (Aquinas) was named to the second team.

Six Lady Pioneers Named All-WNYAC

Six members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's soccer team have been named All-WNYAC following the Lady Pioneers 10-2-4 season.  Jessie Smith (Fredonia), Shelby Winchester (Maple Grove), Audrey Rath (Medina), and Mo Parks (Avoca) were named to the first team while Jackie Matteson (Greece Arcadia) and Therese Hubbel (Bishop Kearney) were second team selections.

Haines Named First Team All-WNYAC

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College freshman volleyball player Brittany Haines (Salamanca) has been named first team All-WNYAC.  The Pioneers currently are 19-12 (17-10 in Region III Division III play) heading into this weekend's Region III Division III Tournament.

Men's Soccer Earns #8 Seed

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team will enter the 2009 Region III Division III Tournament as the #8 seed after finishing the regular season with 7-6-1 overall record and a 6-5-1 Region III Division III mark.  ASC will host #9 Jefferson CC in a first round match-up on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Cross Country Remains Steady in Poll Heading into Regionals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College cross country teams remain steady in the NJCAA Division III poll as they prepare to compete in this weekend's Region III Championship.  The men remain ranked #3 while the women are #5.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Falls in Penalty Kicks

In a back and forth soccer match at Pioneer Stadium, Genesee CC advanced to the Region III Division III Pool A finals with a 7-6 penalty kick victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.  ASC and GCC both scored twice in the first half but neither team could find the back of the net in the second half or either of the two 10-minute overtime periods.

Pioneers Fall in Regular Season Finale

Tompkins Cortland CC scored three unanswered goals en route to a 3-1 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State in the Pioneers regular season finale.  The Panthers improve to 11-7 (11-4 Region III Division III) while the Pioneers are now 7-6-1 (6-5-1 RIII DIII).

Lady Pioneers to take on Genesee in Regionals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's soccer team will battle #5 Genesee CC in their Region III Division III Pool A semifinal match-up.  ASC and GCC will square off at 7 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium on Tuesday evening.
