÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team opened up the 2009 season with a heartbreaking 68-67 loss at Broome CC.  Broome rallied from a halftime deficit and scored the game deciding foul shots with under fifteen seconds left in the game.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team gave #1 seed Herkimer CCC all they could handle but fell 1-0 to the Generals in a Region III Division III Tournament quarterfinal contest.  The Pioneers, seeded #8, finish the season with a 8-7-1 record.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's cross country team moved up one spot to #2 in the last NJCAA Division III poll prior to the National Championships while the women's team remained steady at the #5 spot.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College freshman setter Brittany Haines (Salamanca) has earned another post-season honor.  This past weekend, Haines was named All-Region 1st team after helping the Lady Pioneers to a 20-14 overall record.

John Sweeney (Barker), Brandon Lewis (Red Creek), and Abby Benton (Frewsburg) all raced to All-Region honors this weeked at the Region III Championships.  ASC Head Coach Gary Moore was also named the men's Region III Coach of the Year.

The 2009-10 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College basketball season tips off on Tuesday evening as the Pioneers travel to Binghamton for non-league match-ups versus Broome CC.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore basketball player Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named a 1st team pre-season NJCAA Division II All-American.  Brooks is one of two Region III athletes to be chosen for the honor.

#8 seeded ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team will travel to #1 Herkimer CCC for a Region III Division III quarterfinal match-up on Tuesday afternoon.  The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Wehrum Stadium.

The #6 seeded ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team finished 1-2 in pool play at the Region III Division III Championships on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers finish their 2009 campaign with a 20-14 overall record.

Kevin Arilotta (Churchville) found Masanari Yamamoto (Tokyo, Japan) with a nice crossing pass with 4:29 remaining in the first overtime to lift the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Jefferson CC in a Region III Division III Tournament first round contest.
