The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team won two out of three WNYAC games this weekend as they closed out the regular schedule of the fall season.Ìý ASC split with Jamestown CC, winning 9-8 before falling 5-3.Ìýon Saturday and then downed Genesee CC 7-4 in a rain shortened game.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team advanced to the Onondaga CC Tournament final but settled for a 2nd place finish after falling to Jamestown CC in the final.Ìý ASC finishes the tournament with a 6-1 record in the two-day tournament and is now 17-2 on the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team fell nine yards short of rallying for a come-from-behind victory versus Hudson Valley CC.Ìý The Vikings kept the Pioneers off the board late in the 4th quarter to escape with a 27-21 Northeast Football Conference contest on Saturday.Ìý HVCC improves toÌý2-2 (1-1 NFC) while ASC falls to 2-2 (0-2 NFC).

The men's and women's cross country teams both competed well at the Highlander Invitational at Houghton College.Ìý The men captured 3rd place out ofÌýeight teams while the women finished in 7th place.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College freshmen setter Breanna Horton (Owego Free) has helped the volleyball team to an 11-1 start to the 2008 season.Ìý She is averaging 8.6 assists per game, 1.3 digs, and 0.9 kills thus far.Ìý She sat down and answered a few questions recently to give an inside look of the volleyball team and college life.Ìý
