Track Starts Fast in Outdoor Opener

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College outdoor track and field team finally got their 2008 season started in the sunshine at the University of Rochester on Sunday afternoon.  The Pioneers put together some impressive performances in their season opener.

Pios split with Hagerstown

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team defeated Hagerstown CC 5-0 in the nightcap to earn a split of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.  The Pioneers are now 8-9-1 on the season.

Lady Pioneers sweep Elmira JV

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team opened up the Northern portion of their schedule with a doubleheader sweep of Elmira College JV on Thursday evening.  The Blue and Gold won the opener 11-7 and the nightcap 12-0.  ASC improves to 3-7 on the year.

Lax downs Genesee

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team won their second straight and improved to 3-1 (2-0 Region III) with a 17-11 victory at Genesee CC on Thursday.  ASC outscored GCC 7-1 in the 3rd quarter to take full control of the contest.

Baseball splits with Corning

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team split a Region III doubleheader versus Corning CC on Thursday at Bolivar Richburg High School.  The Red Barons took the opener 4-0 while the Pioneers won the nightcap 12-3.

Blue and Gold open up New Stadium with Victory

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team opened up the new on-campus athletic field with an impressive 18-10 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Tuesday afternoon.  The Pioneers outscored the Saints 7 to 2 in the 2nd quarter to take solid lead that they never relinquised.  With the win, A-State improves to 2-1 (1-0 Region III) while Mercyhurst falls to 2-4 (1-2 Region III).

Pioneers Earn Win & Tie at Lackawanna

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team began the Northern portion of their season with a pair of extra innings contests at Lackawanna College.  The Pioneers won the opener 7-5 in eight innings while the nightcap finished tied at 4-4 after eight innings.

"Think Pink" Charity Game Scheduled

The 2008 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College annual charity basketball game will be colored pink.  Proceeds of the 3rd annual event to be held April 2 will be donated to the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund.  The "Think Pink" Charity game will tip off at 7 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center.

Pioneers fall in final Florida contest

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team fell 8-6 to Miami (OH) Hamilton to wrap up their annual trip to Cocoa Expo in Cocoa, FL.  The Pioneers finish the trip with a 5-7 record.

A-State falls to Del Tech

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team couldn't overcome a slow start and fell 18-11 to Delaware Tech on Friday afternoon.  The Pioneers trailed 11-5 at half and see their record even up at 1-1 while Del Tech improves to 2-3.
