Longenecker named Region Athlete of the Week

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestler Gallaway Longenekcer (Manheim, PA) has been named the Region III male athlete of the week.  This is the second straight week that an ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ male athlete has been honored (Andy Omoregie - Indoor Track & Field).

Lady Pioneers seeded #2 in Regional Tournament

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team has earned the #2 seed in this week's Region III Division II Tournament.  The Lady Pioneers have earned a bye and will play the winner of the #3 Jamestown CC/#6 Niagara County CC 1st round match-up.

Men's Basketball earns #4 seed

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team has earned the #4 seed in this week's Region III Division II Tournament.  The Pioneers will host a first round tournament contest on Tuesday evening versus #5 Genesee CC.

Dziak qualifies for Nationals

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore Keith Dziak (Buffalo/Bishop Timon) qualified for the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship with a solid run at the Marc Denault Invitational at Cornell University.

Longenecker finishes 5th

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore wrestler Gallaway Longenecker (Manheim, PA) finished 5th and earned All-American status (133 lb. weight class) at the NJCAA National Championships.  Longenecker is the 27th All-American in A-State history and the first wrestler at 133 lbs. to earn All-American since Troy Almeter finished 4th in 1987.

A-State downs Niagara

Six players finished in double figures as ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥Â State downed Niagara CCC 92-79 to close out the regular season.  A-State heads into the Region III Division II Tournament with a 19-10 overall record and a 8-6 mark in WNYAC play.

Lady Pioneers win regular season finale

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team wrapped up the regular season with a 70-53 victory at Niagara County CC.  With the win the Lady Pioneers improve to 17-8 (8-4 WNYAC & 8-2 Region III Division II).

Pioneers Win Overtime Thriller

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team downed Genesee CC in a hard fought WNYAC battle, 98-95 in overtime.  With the win the Pioneers improve to 18-10 (7-6 WNYAC) while the Cougars fall to 12-14 (8-5 WNYAC).

Seniors Go Out In Style by Upsetting Genesee

The five seniors at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College made their last home game at the Orvis Activities Center a memorable with a 64-59 victory over #9 Genesee CC on Thursday evening.  With the win the Lady Pioneers improve to 16-8 (7-4 WNYAC & 7-2 Region III Division II) while the Lady Cougars fall to 20-4 (8-3 WNYAC & 8-1 Region III Division II).

Omoregie Named Athlete of the Week

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore Andy Omoregie (Gates Chili) has been named the Region III male athlete of the week.  Omoregie helped lead the Pioneers to their 2nd straight Region III Indoor Track & Field Championship on Sunday afternoon.
