÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College track & field team competed in adverse conditions at the SUNY Brockport Invitational.  Abbey Benton (Frewsburg) led the way by qualifying for the NJCAA Division III National Championships in the 10,000 m with a run of 43:40.91.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team battled tough but fell two goals short in a 16-14 loss at Niagara CCC.  The Pioneers led 6-4 after the first quarter but were outscored 10-4 in the middle quarters and couldn't recover.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team led 3-2 after one quarter and 6-5 at halftime but Finger Lakes CC outscored the Pioneers 10-2 in the second half for the 15-8 victory.  FLCC improves to 6-6 while ASC falls to 0-9.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State and Erie CC split a Region III Division III doubleheader at Bolivar Richburg High School on Thursday.  ECC won the opener 4-1 while ASC won the nightcap 5-4.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team split a pair with Genesee CC winning the opener 8-7 before falling 5-1 in the nightcap.  The Lady Pioneers are now 7-11 overall on the season and 4-6 in Region III Division III play.

Thursday afternoon's baseball doubleheader between ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State and Erie CC has been moved to Bolivar Richburg High School.  First pitch of the doubleheader will be at 2 p.m.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore baseball player JP Frey (Erie, PA/McDowell) has been named the co-Region III male athlete of the week.  Frey shares the honor with Genesee CC lacrosse player Gaehnew Printup.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's outdoor track & field team remained ranked #2 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The men's team slipped down one spot to #4.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team split a pair of WNYAC contests on Tuesday at Niagara CCC.  The Thunder Wolves rallied for a 7-5 victory in game one while ASC used a eight-run 5th inning en route to a 11-2 victory in game two.

#7 Monroe CC defeated ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State 21-6 in a WNYAC match-up in Rochester on Tuesday afternoon.  The win is the Tribunes 6th straight and improves them to 7-4 while the Pioneers fall to 0-8.
