Murphy and Johnson Named Freshman Athletes of the Year

Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) and Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) were named the 2011 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College freshman athletes of the year.  Murphy ran to All-American honors in track & field while Johnson punted his way to All-American on the football gridiron.

Parks and Frey Named Senior Athletes of the Year

Mo Parks (Avoca) and JP Frey (Erie, PA) have been named the 2011 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College senior athletes of the year.  Parks was a two-year member of the soccer and track & field teams while Frey has been a mainstay on the baseball team the past two years.

Pioneers Lacrosse Garners Honors

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team had four players honored by Region III and two players honored by the Western New York Athletic Conference.

Depew Named All-Region

Sophomore outfielder Angie Depew (Wellsville) has been named 2nd team All-Region following the Lady Pioneers 2011 campaign.  Depew was named All-WNYAC 1st team following her freshman year.

Lady Pioneers Close out Season

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team closed out their season this weekend with doubleheader losses to Tompkins Cortland CC and Corning CC.  The Lady Pioneers finish the 2011 campaign with a 10-22 overall mark and a 7-15 record in Region III Division III play.

Pioneer Men and Women Finish Track Nationals in 4th

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College outdoor track & field team completed the 2011 NJCAA Division III National Championships with 4th place finishes.  The women scored 83.5 points while the men finished with 61.

Harper Sweeps Track Nationals

Harper College (IL) claimed both the men's and women's titles at the 2011 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  The Harper women won by nearly 40 points while the men won by 23.

Mohawk Valley and Harper Lead after Day 2 of Track Nationals

The Mohawk Valley CC women's team holds a one point lead while Harper College's men's team leads by 18 after the second day of the NJCAA Division III Track & Field at Pioneer Stadium.  The Pioneer men sit in 4th place while the women are in 8th.

Lady Pioneers Sweep Past FLCC

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team swept a pair of games from Finger Lakes CC on Friday.  The Lady Pioneers won the opener 8-0 and won the nightcap 1-0 in walk-off fashion.  ASC is now 10-18 (7-11 Region III Division III).

Kingsborough and Mohawk Valley Lead After Day One of Track Nationals

Kingsborough CC leads the women's competition and Mohawk Valley CC leads the men's competition after day of the 2011 NJCAA Division III Track & Field Championships at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State.  The host Pioneers sit in 2nd place in the men's competition while the women are 7th.
