NYS Sen. Catharine Young Secures Funding for ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Student Center

NYS Sen. Catharine M. Young, (R-Olean) visited the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College campus recently to announce $33.5 million in funding for a new student center on the campus. Sen. Young, long a friend of the college, successfully worked to get the funding put back into the state appropriations budget after it had been removed.

ASC and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County Host 39th Annual Finger Lakes Dairy Judging Contest

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC) Agriculture and Horticulture Department and the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County hosted the 39th annual Finger Lakes Dairy Judging Contest for Future Farmers of America (FFA) members as well as 4-H members from local counties at the ASC college farm earlier this month.

UNI-SELECT Partnership for Automotive Parts Technology Program Reviewed

The School of Applied Technology at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College is pleased to announce that the relatively new automotive parts technology curriculum, begun in fall 2007, will be offered in an online format beginning fall 2008. This new format was approved at a recent partnership meeting with ASC and UNI-SELECT.

Barbara Becker Bench Dedication

Allegany Arc Donates to ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College

Allegany Arc recently contributed $1,000 to the Khalid Ashraf Memorial Endowed Scholarship at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College. The scholarship honors the memory of Dr. Khalid Ashraf who was killed in an accident in June 2007. The money is a result of contributions Arc received as memorials in Ashraf's name after his passing last year.

WINS Club Donates to Anthony Carino Memorial Scholarship

Alice Foust Bench Dedication

Friends, relatives, and colleagues of the late Alice Foust gathered on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College campus recently to dedicate a bench and garden in her memory. Foust, who served as a cleaner on campus until her retirement in 2005, lost her battle with cancer last year.
