The Automotive Trades Department of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, in conjunction with Tenneco, sponsored a "Drive and Ride" event in September at the Wellsville Campus. 

In many small college towns, there seems to be an invisible fence between the campus and off-campus businesses. Students tend to stay on campus where their campus ID facilitates access to virtually anything they need.

The Admissions Office at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will host regional school counselors, directors of guidance, and college advisers for SUNY Operation Inform 2008 on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008.  This professional development opportunity features SUNY workshops and the chance to explore current topics in higher education.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College President Dr. John M. Anderson appeared on Rochester's 13 WHAM-TV recently to discuss his involvement in the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) conference held late last month. 

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Associate Librarian Joseph Petrick kicked off inauguration week activities by delivering the inauguration lecture Monday, focusing on Honoring Tradition, Embracing Innovation, and overview of the early evolution of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College until 1967. 

The third annual Taste of Wellsville was deemed a rousing success Saturday as clear blue skies and warm sunshine encouraged visitors to stroll campus, sampling the wares of various local eateries as they toured student demonstrations and played a variety of "games," including excavator bowling and backhoe softball. 

SPEC MIX^® and QUIKRETE^® of Western New York was a visible presence at the Western New York region high school SkillsUSA competition last semester, held at the Wellsville Applied Technology campus of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, providing materials for the high school competition. 

Dr. Mary Condon, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College executive assistant to the president, and Dr. Ronald R. Rosati, ASC provost and vice president for academic affairs, attended US Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's "New York Farm Day" in Washington, DC, in late September. 

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College community is gearing up for the celebration of Dr. John M. Anderson's inauguration as 11^th president of the College.  Several activities are planned in honor of the event.
