 ��Ӱֱ�� State College student academic achievement was celebrated recently during the 27^th annual Honors Convocation.ASC President Dr. John M. Anderson welcomed the gathered students, families, faculty, and friends and congratulated them on their achievements. Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Stephen Havlovic presided.

Smiles were the order of the day recently as ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s Commuter Council members and other commuter students attended the ribbon cutting at their newly remodeled lounge.

��Ӱֱ�� State College’s School of Applied Technology, Wellsville, hosted the 13^th annual New York State Postsecondary (college level) SkillsUSA competition in March.

Beginning Wednesday, May 4, athletes representing 25 NJCAA institutions will travel to ��Ӱֱ�� State College to participate in the 2011 Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The event will feature nearly 250 participants vying for both individual and team honors.

However, not only did they attend the Career Fair, but volunteered their time the night before to assist students in preparing for the Fair and their upcoming careers.(27 other companies attended as well.) The recruiters interviewed several ASC students the following day on campus and followed up with them for interviews and company tours at their Baldwinsville location.

The Higher Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,500 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities, and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

��Ӱֱ�� State College studying abroad in Sorrento, Italy, participated in the oikos Spring Meeting 2011 Sustainable Architecture: Space for Living, in Prague, Czech Republic.

Dr. Stephen J. Havlovic, vice president for academic affairs at ��Ӱֱ�� State College, has co-authored an article that has appeared in the Journal of Health Organization and Management.

Starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, in Allegany Room of the Central Dining Hall, the event will spotlight Dr. John O. Hunter, ��Ӱֱ�� State College president emeritus, speaking about his new book Reading Yeats and Striving to Be a College President.
