��Ӱֱ�� State College recently hosted Lynne Palmiere, project coordinator, Allegany/Western Steuben Rural Health Network, Inc., who presented at ��Ӱֱ�� State’s “Health Education with a Greenhouse Effect Brown Bag Lunch” series.

Four ��Ӱֱ�� State College students were recently inducted into the college’s chapter of the Psi Beta National Honor Society in psychology for two-year colleges.

Several ��Ӱֱ�� State College students were recently inducted into Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE), a national honor society for full-time students who have entered college through any developmental or opportunity program.

Nearly 900 two- and four-year graduates, their families, professors, and friends will be on hand Sunday, May 16 at noon, as ��Ӱֱ�� State College honors its 99th graduating class. Commencement exercises are scheduled to be held at McLane Center on neighboring ��Ӱֱ�� University campus. Graduates will need to use the tickets in their graduation packets for their families’ admission.

��Ӱֱ�� State College has received a gift of $50,000 from Laverne (’56) and Mary Lou Billings of Boynton Beach, FL, to support equipment purchases for the heavy equipment operations program.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College BUV (basic utility vehicle) team returned to prominence by winning first place in the Main Division of the 10^th Annual National Basic Utility Vehicle Competition in Indianapolis, IN.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State Pioneer Woodsmen’s Club put on an excellent showing at their first meet. The Jack and Jill team came in first in their division beating out SUNY Cobleskill and Penn State University. The men’s team did well in many of the individual events.

Student displays from seven local school districts (Allegany-Limestone, Bolivar-Richburg, Prattsburgh, Hinsdale, Genesee Valley Central, Naples, Belmont BOCES, and one home-schooled student) were judged at ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s 11th Annual Regional Science and Technology Fair.  Seventy-five science and technology projects were on display for judging and public

The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at ��Ӱֱ�� State College will host its Human Services Awareness Day, Wednesday, April 21, 2010, from 1-3 p.m. in the Allegany Room of Central Dining Hall on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus.
