Nearly 900 two- and four-year graduates, their families, professors, and friends were on hand Sunday, May 16, as ��Ӱֱ�� State College honored its 99th graduating class. Presiding over the ceremony, which was held at McLane Center on neighboring ��Ӱֱ�� University’s campus, was Dr. John M. Anderson, college president.

“I am delighted that Terry has decided to return to ��Ӱֱ�� State,” said Dr. John M. Anderson, college president. “Terry previously served as a faculty member and department chair during his first stint at ��Ӱֱ�� State, where he was involved, even then, in international activities. With ��Ӱֱ�� State’s re-invigorated focus on community service outreach as well as international education, Terry will be a perfect fit!”

Students and faculty of ��Ӱֱ�� State College are working closely with Atlantic Richfield (AR), a BP-affiliated company, to design and install a solar-powered telemetry system to monitor water levels at a wetland treatment system created by AR at a former Sinclair Refinery in Wellsville.

“We both loved attending ��Ӱֱ�� State College,” says Maria. “The faculty are wonderful and always willing to help students understand the subject matter.”

Crystal concurs: “The nursing program was not easy, but it was truly worthwhile.”

��Ӱֱ�� State College and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH), a non-academic honor society consisting of the top 1% of student leaders, announces the winners of April’s “Of The Month” (OTM) Awards.

This year’s winners, Keenan Thayer, Middletown, RI, and Randy Todd, Warsaw, each received $300 checks presented by Charles Jessup, (far left) business manager, and  Ben Palmer, (far right) owner, Southern Tier Concrete Products, Inc., ��Ӱֱ��.

Mike Marsigliano and Minica DiBella were nominated for the award by computer imaging and architectural engineering technology,

��Ӱֱ�� State College’s Office of Health Education presented the last “Brown Bag” lecture of the semester in the “Health Education with a Greenhouse Effect” series featuring Gina Boyd, head women's basketball coach and director of physical education at the college.

Thanks to the generosity of ��Ӱֱ�� State alumnus Bret Llewellyn, Buffalo, marketing, class of 1980,  there is a beautiful new art gallery on campus.  The Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery, located on the third floor of the Engineering Technology Building on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus, was dedicated recently during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

��Ӱֱ�� State College students enrolled in the digital media and animation program will host the second annual Digital Media & Animation Senior Showcase on Saturday, May 8, at 2 p.m. in the Engineering Lecture Hall (room 215) at ��Ӱֱ�� State College.
