Lady Pioneers win WNYAC Opener

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team opened up 2013 and WNYAC play with a 58-47 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Thursday.  The Lady Pioneers improve to 9-4 (1-0 WNYAC) while the Lady Saints are now 8-4 (0-1 WNYAC). Read Article

Four Lady Pioneer Soccer Players Honored by the NSCAA

Four members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's soccer team have been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in their end of the year awards. Kali Muhleisen (÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Almond), was named 1st team All-American while Krista DeCarlo (Bayshore/West Islip), and Maura Tuffey (Albany/Holy Names) were named 2nd team. The trio along with Hannah Holmok (÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Almond) were also named All-Northeast Region as well. Read Article

Baseball to Host Prospect Camp

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State baseball coach Jason Cronin and the rest of the coaching staff will host a Prospect Camp on Sunday, Jan. 27th at the Orvis Activities Center. The camp will allow high school players to showcase their skills in front of the Pioneer coaching staff.  Each participant will receive an evaluation of their skills from the coaching staff. Pioneers Finish 3rd at JCC Invitational

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State swimming team wrapped up the 2012 portion of their season with a 3rd place showing at the Jamestown CC Invitational. Only the men's team competed and scored 155 points on the day. Read Article

Pioneers Can't Overcome Early Hole

Fueled by three forfeit victories in the first five matches, Mercyhurst North East jumped to a 25-0 lead en route to a 37-16 WNYAC dual meet victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State.  The Pioneers finish the 2012 portion of their season with a 1-3 overall mark and a 1-2 WNYAC record. Read Article

Pioneers Fall in Final Seconds

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's basketball team held a 53-49 lead with 47 seconds left but St. John Fisher JV scored the final five points to steal a 54-53 win.  The Pioneers close out 2012 with a 4-6 record. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Fall in Consolation Game

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team could not regroup after a tough loss on Saturday and fell 67-48 to Ithaca College JV in the consolation game of the Onondaga CC Tournament.  The Lady Pioneers end the 2012 portion of their season with a 8-4 mark. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Tripped up in OT

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team was tripped up in overtime, 57-54, by Sullivan County CC in the opening round of the Onondaga CC Classic.  The Lady Pioneers are now 8-3 on the year and will take on Ithaca College JV at 11:45 a.m. in the tournament consolation game. Read Article

Witchella Earns National Honor

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State sophomore forward Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) has been named the NJCAA Division II Player of the Week. Witchella leads the 8-2 Lady Pioneers in scoring and rebounding. Read Article

Niagara Downs ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ on the Mats

Niagara CCC defeated ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State 50-0 in a WNYAC dual on Wednesday evening. The win improves Niagara to 3-0 in the WNYAC while the Pioneers are 1-2 overall and 1-1 in WNYAC play. Read Article
