Big 2nd quarter leads A-State to Win

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team outscored Tompkins Cortland CC 8 to 2 in the 2nd quarter to erase a 1st quarter deficit en route to a 21-17 regular season ending victory.  With the win the Pioneers head into the Region III Tournament with a 8-5 (7-4 Region III) record. Read Article

Pioneers fall to Monroe

Monroe CC scored two runs in the 4th and two more in the 5th inning en route to a 7-2 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College in a Region III Division II contest.  ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ falls to 20-12-1 (4-3 Region III Division II) on the year and will be the #2 seed in next weekend's Regional tournament.  Monroe improves to 30-12 (6-1 Region III Division II) and clinches the #1 seed. ASC drops pair to Jamestown

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team couldn't snap their losing streak and lost both games to Jamestown CC, 10-4 & 6-3.  ASC falls to 8-20 on the year. Read Article

Monroe snaps Pioneers win streak

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team had its 13-game winning streak snapped in a doubleheader at Monroe CC on Thursday afternoon.  The Tribunes won both halves of the doublheader, 4-1 & 11-6. Read Article

Lax can't overcome slow start

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team fell behind 7-1 after the first quarter and never could recover and fell 26-11 to #2 Onondaga CC.  The Pioneers fall to 7-5 (6-4 Region III) as they head into their regular season finale on Sunday. Read Article

Crowder qualifies for Nationals

 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College freshman Cedric Crowder (Gates Chili) qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Championships with a solid day at the University of Rochester Invitational on Wednesday. Read Article

Student Employee of the Year Announced

Elizabeth Harkenrider, Rexville, a nursing major at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, has been named the 2007-08 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Student Employee of the Year.   Elizabeth works in the Financial Aid Office and was nominated by her supervisor, Deborah Neu, secretary for Financial Aid.  Read Article

Track team runs well at Ithaca

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College track & field team competed versus three NCAA schools and three NJCAA schools at the Ithaca Open. Read Article

Monroe trips up ASC

The Monroe CC softball team extended their winning streak to 15 games with a doubleheader sweep of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State on Tuesday afternoon.  The Tribunes, the two-time defending NJCAA Division III champion and currently ranked #2 in the nation, won 13-1 and 8-0 to improve to 23-9 on the year.  ASC has dropped its last eight games and falls to 8-18 on the season. Dr. Choichiro Yatani, professor, Social and Behavioral Sciences Department at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, recently attended the 20th anniversary meeting of the Oxford Round Table where he presented his paper, "With Us or Against Us:  American Images of the Enemy." Read Article
