The ��Ӱֱ�� State College lacrosse team snapped a six game losing streak with a 8-6 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Saturday at Pioneer Stadium.  The win improves the Pioneers to 2-6 overall and and 2-4 in Region III play.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's outdoor track & field team finished 8th out of 13 teams at the University of Rochester while the women finished 12th out of 14 teams.  During the competition, four more athletes qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Championships.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State softball team evened up their record with a doubleheader sweep of Onondaga CC, 7-1 & 9-2, on Saturday afternoon.  ASC is now 6-6 (3-2 Region III Division III) on the season.

��Ӱֱ�� State College President Dr. John Anderson met with Honors Program members April 5 to update the students on his trips to China and Japan earlier this year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College softball team opened up the home portion of their schedule with a doubleheader sweep, 8-0 and 14-6, over Elmira College JV.  The Pioneers improve to 4-6 on the season as they head into Region III Division III play this weekend.

Broome rallied from a 7-3 deficit to down ��Ӱֱ�� State 15-12 in a Region III lacrosse contest on Thursday afternoon.  The Pioneers fall to 1-6 on the season.

��Ӱֱ�� State College recently welcomed Nancy Cole and John Althouse to campus to share their experiences growing premium Riesling grapes for Dr. Konstantin Frank winery located on Keuka lake in Hammondsport.

Thursday afternoon's scheduled ��Ӱֱ�� State home baseball game versus Lackawanna (PA) College has been cancelled and has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday at Lackawanna.

A heavy thunderstorm forced the suspension of the ��Ӱֱ�� State College softball game versus Erie CC on Tuesday afternoon.  ASC led 1-0 heading into the top of the 2nd inning when lightning forced the teams off the field.  Heavy rain followed and made the field unplayable.

Head Football Coach Mick Caba and his team will host a Bone Marrow Registry Drive on Wednesday, April 7 in the Student Gathering Place of the Central Dining Hall.  The drive will be held between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College community has been engaged in two years of extensive planning and discussion regarding the construction of our new Student Leadership Center. On Tuesday, April 13, from 5-6 p.m., in the Townhouse Commons, ASC President John Anderson and the Student Leadership Center Team will present the campus plan for this new $33.5 M facility.

��Ӱֱ�� State scored 31 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Ithaca College JV.  The Pioneers won the opener 16-11 and the nightcap 15-2 to improve to 11-6 on the season.

��Ӱֱ�� State struggled at the faceoff circle and with groundballs as they fell 17-11 to SUNY Delhi.  ASC falls to 1-5 (1-3 Region III) on the season.

��Ӱֱ�� State opened up the outdoor track & field season with an impressive showing at the ASC Easter Meet.  Pioneer athletes had seven NJCAA Division III National Championship qualifiying performances.

On March 27, Spencer Peavey, ��Ӱֱ�� State College director of Student Activities and Orientation, presented “Utilizing Media in Your Orientation Program and Recruitment of Student Leaders” to the National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) in Ithaca, on the Cornell University campus. Peavey’s presentation reviewed how ��Ӱֱ�� State incorporates both traditional and new media for new students during Orientation.

��Ӱֱ�� State College will kick off the Hot Dog Day weekend early this year with a performance by comedian Kevin Hart, Thursday, April 22, at 9 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center gymnasium. Admission is free, but a ticket is required for admission; tickets are available at both the ��Ӱֱ�� State College and ��Ӱֱ�� University Student Activities offices and at the ��Ӱֱ�� State College campus bookstore. This show is rated “R” and

��Ӱֱ�� State College Center for Organic and Sustainable Agriculture will host a public display of the proposed plans for the renovation of the college farm. The plans will feature designs for the new dairy barn that will accommodate both organic and non-organic cows.

��Ӱֱ�� State swept a doubleheader from the JV squad from Pitt-Bradford, 7-5 & 14-4, on Thursday to improve to 9-6 on the season.  The Pioneers are now 3-1 since returning from their southern trip.

Genesee CC scored three unanswered goals in the second quarter to take a lead they would never give up in a 13-10 victory over ��Ӱֱ�� State on Wednesday evening in Region III lacrosse.  GCC is now 6-1 on the year while ASC falls to 1-4.
