The ��Ӱֱ�� State 4 x 400 relay team qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Championships with a strong performance at the SUNY G Invitational at Geneseo on Saturday.

Jefferson CC outscored ��Ӱֱ�� State 5-2 in the final quarter to down the Pioneers 19-15 on Saturday.  The Pioneers head into their final regular season game on Sunday with a 4-9 overall mark and a 4-7 Region III record.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College baseball team fell 12-2 and 5-4 in nine innings to Monroe CC on Thursday afternoon.  The Pioneers are now 16-15 overall and 1-5 in Region III Division II play.

��Ӱֱ�� State scored 35 runs as they improved to 8-0 at home with a softball doubleheader sweep of Jamestown CC, 18-3 & 17-2.  The Lady Pioneers are now 10-10 overall and 7-6 in Region III Division III play.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College men's outdoor track & field team is ranked #8 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll when the women are ranked #10. 

#3 ranked and NJCAA defending national champion Onondaga CC raced past ��Ӱֱ�� State on Wednesday, 33-4.  ASC falls to 4-8 on the year (4-6 Region III) while OCC improves to 12-2.

��Ӱֱ�� State College sophomore Chase Bailey (Corning West) has been named the Region III men's co-athlete of the week.  Bailey's teammate Ryan Speciale (Corning West) also hit a milestone this past week by recording his 100th career point.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College baseball team swept a pair, 5-4 and 13-2, from Ithaca College JV on Tuesday afternoon.  The wins snap a three game losing streak and improves the Pioneers to 16-13 on the season.

Genesee CC scored four runs in the 7th inning to rally for a 8-7 victory in game one and then held on for a 4-2 victory in game two to sweep ��Ӱֱ�� State in a Region III Division II doubleheader.  ASC falls to 14-13 (1-3 RIII DII) while GCC improves to 11-10 (3-1 RIII DII).

Ten different Pioneers found the back of the net as ��Ӱֱ�� State won their second game in a row 23-10 over Niagara CCC.  The blue & gold improve to 4-7 on the season and 4-5 in Region III contests.

Saturday and Sunday baseball and softball doubleheaders have been cancelled due to the cold and wet weather that has plagued the southern tier. 

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College outdoor track & field team continued their busy schedule as they competed at the SUNY Brockport Invitational on Saturday.  ASC was one of eight teams that competed in cool and damp conditions.

��Ӱֱ�� State won 23 out of 29 faceoffs in a 20-5 victory over Finger Lakes CC on Friday afternoon.  The blue & gold are now 3-7 on the season heading into their final four games of the regular season.

��Ӱֱ�� State and Genesee CC split their opening Region III Division II doubleheader at Dwyer Park in Batavia on Thursday.  ASC won the opener 6-5 but fell on a walk-off homer in the nightcap 7-4.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College softball team fell to Genesee CC, 8-4 & 16-8, in a WNYAC doubleheader on Thursday.  The Lady Pioneers fall to 8-10 overall and 5-6 in Region III Division II play.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State Pioneer Woodsmen’s Club put on an excellent showing at their first meet. The Jack and Jill team came in first in their division beating out SUNY Cobleskill and Penn State University. The men’s team did well in many of the individual events.

Student displays from seven local school districts (Allegany-Limestone, Bolivar-Richburg, Prattsburgh, Hinsdale, Genesee Valley Central, Naples, Belmont BOCES, and one home-schooled student) were judged at ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s 11th Annual Regional Science and Technology Fair.  Seventy-five science and technology projects were on display for judging and public

The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at ��Ӱֱ�� State College will host its Human Services Awareness Day, Wednesday, April 21, 2010, from 1-3 p.m. in the Allegany Room of Central Dining Hall on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus.

Two ��Ӱֱ�� State College graduating seniors were named State University of New York (SUNY) 2010 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence winners. SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher honored 228 college students from SUNY campuses throughout the state with the 2010 Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College baseball team split a doubleheader at Lakeland (OH) CC on Wednesday afternoon.  The Pioneers (13-10) won the opener 11-4 but fell 3-2 to in the nightcap.

Both the men's and women's ��Ӱֱ�� State track & field teams sit in the latest NJCAA Division III top ten.  The women are ranked #5 while the men are ranked #8.

#4 Monroe CC held the ��Ӱֱ�� State lacrosse team off the scoreboard for the final 40 minutes as they improved to 11-1 with a 23-5 victory.  The Pioneers fall to 2-7 on the year.

Dr. Stephen J. Havlovic, an educator with a strong background in human resources and developing partnerships with international and domestic institutions of higher education, has been named Vice President for Academic Affairs at ��Ӱֱ�� State College; his appointment was announced by ASC President Dr. John M. Anderson.

Today's (4/13) ��Ӱֱ�� State baseball doubleheader baseball game at Lakeland (OH) CC has been cancelled due to rain in the Cleveland area.  The Pioneers and Lakers will now play on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

Pete Francia (Greece Olympia) and Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) qualified for the 2010 NJCAA Division III National Championships with wins at the Blue & Gold tri-meet.  ASC's men finished 2nd with 112.5 points while the women were 3rd with 76 points.

The “Scholarships for Haiti” program has been established to provide five scholarships in either its construction management engineering technology curriculums in an effort to help rebuild the infrastructure of the struggling island nation.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College baseball team went 1-3 on a weekend road trip.  ASC fell 1-0 and and 9-2 to Lackawanna (PA) College on Friday and then split a doubleheader with Hagerstown (MD) CC, winning 8-6 and falling 4-3 in eight innings.  ASC is now 12-9 on the season.

A nine run 1st inning in game one and a seven run 2nd in game two led Herkimer CCC to a doubleheader sweep of ��Ӱֱ�� State on Sunday afternoon.  ASC's four game winning streak was snapped and the team falls to 6-8 (3-4 Region III Division III) on the year.
