Lady Pioneers Ready for Nationals

Six years ago Gene Doorley took over an ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball program that played a very limited schedule and won only a handful of games each season.  Today his team is preparing to make their second straight trip to the NJCAA Division III National Championships.

Three Pioneers Earn Cross Country All-American

Three ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State cross country runners earned All-American honors at the NJCAA Division III National Championship in Lincoln, RI.  John Sweeney (Barker) earned Second Team honors with a ninth place finish (28:32).  Ashley Fung (Greenwich) and Kaleigh Ligoci (Cicero-North Syracuse) each earned Honorable Mention with 12th place (21:09) and 13th place (21:12) respectively.

Lady Pioneers #4 Seed at Nationals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team will be the #4 seed in this week's NJCAA Division III Championships.  The Lady Pioneers will match up with #5 Hibbing (MN) CC at Noon (CST) on Friday in the quarterfinals.

Lady Pioneers Can't Solve Lakeland

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team couldn't get the offense going and fell 96-48 at Lakeland (Kirtland, OH) on Sunday afternoon.  The Lady Pioneers are now 1-2 in the early going of their 2008-09 campaign.

Pioneers Fall in Another Close One

For the second day in a row the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team lost a close battle in Ohio.  Sunday, the Pioneers fell 75-71 to Lakeland (Kirtland, OH) CC.  ASC is now 2-4 on the season.

Swim Men Win at Genesee, Women finish 5th

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swim team swam away with the top spot at the Genesee CC Fall Invitational on Saturday afternoon.  The men scored 334.5 points ahead of 2nd place SUNY Delhi's 209.  The women finished 5th with 64 points out of six teams.

Men's Basketball Falls at Cuyahoga

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team dropped a close one 79-76 to Cuyahoga CC on Saturday afternoon in Cleveland, OH.  The Pioneers fall to 2-3 on the season.

Pioneers Rally Falls Short

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team fell behind 27-0 before putting together an impressive comeback that fell just short.  The Pioneers conclude the season with a 4-5 mark following a 34-27 defeat to Nassau CC.  With the win the Lions finish as NFC runner-ups with a 6-4 overall mark and a 4-1 NFC.
