÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team evened up their record at 4-4 with a 71-69 victory at Orange CCC on Saturday.  ASC led by 16 at half and had to hold on late in the game to secure the victory.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball team dropped a tight battle at Orange CCC 68-62 on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers are now 1-4 on the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team wrapped up their 2008 season with their 38th victory of the season in the 4th/6th place match of the NJCAA Division III National Championships.  The Lady Pioneers earned a straight set 25-21, 25-14, 25-20 over Nassau CC.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State will battle the #6 seed Nassau CC this morning in the 4th/6th place match at the NJCAA Division III National Championships in Rochester, MN.  Match up-dates will be available at least every 10 minutes during the contest.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team struggled in their NJCAA Division III quarterfinal match-up and fell 21-25, 25-21, 19-25, and 9-25 to #5 seed Hibbing (MN) CC.  The Lady Pioneers were able to bounce right back in a consolation bracket contest, downing Anne Arundel (MD) CC 25-15, 25-16, and 25-9.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team dropped a close WNYAC match 21-19 at Mercyhurst North East on Thursday.  The match was the first dual match for both teams on the season.

In this week's Q & A we sat down with sophomore guard on the women's basketball team, Sherelle Brooks.  One of only three returning players from last year's team, Brooks averages almost seven points and four assists per game.

All five starters scored in double figures as ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State defeated Cayuga CC 81-70 at the Orvis Activities Center on Tuesday evening.  The win improves the Pioneers to 3-4 on the young season.

With the game tied at 6-6 early in the first half, Cayuga CC went on a 16-0 run and never let ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State fight all the way back en route to a 86-68 victory.  The Lady Pioneers fall to 1-3 on the season.
