Pioneers Rally Falls Short

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team fell behind 27-0 before putting together an impressive comeback that fell just short.  The Pioneers conclude the season with a 4-5 mark following a 34-27 defeat to Nassau CC.  With the win the Lions finish as NFC runner-ups with a 6-4 overall mark and a 4-1 NFC.

Cross Country Men 3rd Women 5th at Nationals

Both the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's and women's cross country teams raced to top five finishes at the NJCAA Division III National Championships in Warwick, RI.   The men captured third place while the women placed fifth.

Pioneers Down Corning

Both the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's and women's basketball teams earned victories at Corning CC on Thursday.  The women evened their record at 1-1 with a 69-47 victory while the men are now 2-2 following a 77-56 win.

Pioneer Soccer Remains Ranked Fifth

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's soccer team remains ranked fifth in the latest NJCAA Division III poll after going 2-1 in last week's action.  This is the ninth week in a row that the Pioneers have been ranked in the top 15.

Pioneers Down Broome

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team came out fast and went on to a 80-60 victory over Broome CC in their home opener on Tuesday evening.  The Pioneers are now 1-2 on the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's basketball shot just 28.4% (19 for 67) from the field and fell 54-47 to Broome CC in their 2008-09 opener.

Cross Country Heads into Nationals Ranked #3 and #4

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College cross country team will enter the NJCAA Division III Championship race this Saturday at the CC of Rhode Island with a top four ranking on both the men's and women's side.  The men are ranked #3 in the final poll of the regular season while the women are 4th.

Covert Named Special Teams Player of the Week

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College kicker Kyle Covert (Wayland Cohocton) has been named the Northeast Football Conference special teams player of the week following the Pioneers 63-20 victory over the Niagara X-Men on Saturday.

Three Lady Pioneers Named Volleyball All-Region

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore Yurika Toyodome (Tokyo, Japan) was named NJCAA Region III Division III Volleyball Player of the Year, while sophomore Jenni Jerome (Syracuse/Westhill) and freshman Breanna Horton (Owego Free Academy) were both named All-Region.

Wrestlers Compete at UB

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team opened up their 2008-09 campaign at the University of Buffalo Open on Sunday.  Eight Pioneers competed in the non team scoring tournament that featured Division I schools, Ohio State, Edinboro, Rutgers, Duquesne, and Binghamton.
