The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sports information department has named Tiffany Fox (Canisteo Greenwood) and Greg Hampton (Uniondale) the college's athletes of the week.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team will have to wait a few more days to open up the home portion of their season.  The scheduled contest between ASC and Buffalo State JV on September 12 has been cancelled.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team capitalized on mistakes as they defeated Brockport JV 21-10 in their 2011 season opener.  The Pioneers now have won four straight season openers.

The Mohawk Valley CC men's soccer team improved to 4-0 with a 5-1 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State in day two of the East-West Showdown at SUNY Delhi.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team opened up their 2011 season with a 1-1 tie with SUNY Delhi in day one action at the East-West Showdown.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's soccer team scored four goals in each half as they opened up their 2011 campaign with a 8-0 victory over SUNY Delhi.  Five different Lady Pioneers scored and ten recorded points.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team finished 2nd as they opened their 2011 season at the ASC Tournament.  The Lady Pioneers finished 3-2 on the day and fell in a tight match to Butler (PA)  CCC in the finals 2-1.

This summer ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College welcomed a new athletic director to the institution.  Dr. Daryl Arroyo has been on campus for two months and the sports information department asked him some questions about his transition to the AD role and his move to ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team could not get the offense and dropped a pair to Mercyhurst North East, 2-1 and 3-0, in their 2011 fall season opener.  The Pioneers were a combined 2-20 in the doubleheader with runners on base.

The field and brackets are set for the 2011 ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Volleyball Invitational.  The Pioneers welcome seven teams to the Orvis Activities Center on Saturday for the all-day event.
