Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor of psychology at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, is the author of an article appearing in the most recent issue of The Baker Street Journal.  Titled "The Case-Book of Prince Zaleski," the article reviews the life of British writer M. P. Shiel and discusses his most famous literary creation, the brilliant detective Prince Zaleski.

Lettuce Indulge - Lettuce Tasting Event, April 22

Enough with the chicken wings and comfort foods -it's time to get your palate ready for spring. ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will host New York's first Lettuce Tasting event on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, in the new Student Gathering Place on campus. "Lettuce Indulge," hosted by ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State's Center for Organic and Sustainable Agriculture (COSA), will give students and members of the community the chance to sample COSA's produce while giving their taste buds an education in greens.

WINS FutureBound Career Day

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College held its 10th annual New York State postsecondary SkillsUSA competition on March 29, 2008. Sixty-four students from ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, SUNY Delhi, and the Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park) competed in 12 vocational and leadership skill areas.

Construction Management Technology Program Granted Reaccreditation

The construction management technology program at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College has been granted reaccreditation by the board of trustees of the American Council for Construction Education.  The program has maintained the stringent standards of ACCE and has proven to the board, through a visiting team of its peers and industry practitioners, that the program is worthy of reaccreditation.

There may be snow on the ground and a nip in the air, but the cropping season is well underway at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.  Thanks to new greenhouse and lighting technologies, the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Technology, located in the central Southern Tier, is growing vegetables year-round.

Campus is Saddened by Loss of Student

The campus community is saddened to learn of the death of Anthony Carino, who died Friday evening in a Rochester-area hospital.  Cause of death has not been released by the hospital.

Anthony was a senior in ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's architectural technology program. 

College officials-on behalf of the entire campus community-extend their deepest sympathy to Anthony's family and friends.

57th Annual Alumni Choral Spring Concert Scheduled

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College presents the 57thAnnual Alumni Choral Spring concert, under the direction of Anthony Cappadonia, ASC director of vocal music emeritus.  The concert will be held Sunday, April 20, at 2 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center Auditorium on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College campus.

The concert is open to the public free of charge and features the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Alumni Choir; the Alumni Jazz Singers, the '87 Collegiate Quartet, and Andy's A cappella Armada.
