÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College recently received a $29,320 grant to organize a system for local farmers to supply ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's dining services with fresh produce. To accomplish this, the Center for Organic and Sustainable Agriculture (COSA) will provide support and educational benefits for local farmers.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College student Colleen Klein-Wolfanger, Silver Springs, an agricultural business major, was selected as the winner of the Monsanto Dairy Business and Northeast DairyBusiness Feature Article Competition.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College has announced new hires for spring 2008.  These include Michelle Mapes, Paul Posener, Shaojie Jiang, and Mark Lawniczak, Sufyan Shahin, and Casey Gross.

The Educational Foundation of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥, Inc., annually funds up to eight ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College students through its work-grant program, allowing students who are ineligible for work-study funds to find employment on campus. 

Students enrolled in the culinary arts programs at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will prepare a Mardi Gras celebration, featuring a New Orleans-style menu, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 5-7 p.m., in the student cafeteria of the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, in conjunction with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ University, will host its large spring concert on Thursday, April 10, 2008. 

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College has been granted authority by the State University of New York and the NYS Education Department to offer a new bachelor of science degree in forensic science technology, which will begin accepting students for the fall 2008 semester.

Otto Berliner, ASC professor of psychology emeritus, who escaped the Nazis in his native Hungary during World War II, has written a historical novel that has premiered to terrific reviews.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College SkillsUSA chapter is using grant money received from Lowe's to develop a local Elementary School playground project.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's Orvis Auditorium was filled to capacity on Jan. 14 as the College's new president, Dr. John M. Anderson addressed the campus community for the first time in his new role.
